I really wanted to give this a shot. I like quantic dream, the art style is cool. The variety of chars is kinda lacking but the deck building lends itself to potential. But it crashes every match. I cannot finish a game because every time it crashes.

So so keen for actual release, polished, immersive fun. Can definitely see this going so far.

Charming and over the top, the demo is fantastic, having the "live chat" give suggestions to force you to mix up the combat is fantastic. Feels like what I'd want out of a DBZ game if anything, very stoked for the full release.

Just to note performance on an all AMD system, 6900XT and R9 5900X, I didnt get a single dip, had 120 fps the whole time. I'm unsure what system the dev uses, and what he's testing the game on but for me it ran great, hopefully given the other reviews here, it can be optimized for more systems but that's hard to do as a solo or small dev team.

Sound is extremely scuffed and no hold to crouch are the main negatives, otherwise it's a bit of fun, and free. IDK about the whiny reviews on here, it's a fun concept with solid gunplay.

Give it a shot, can't really hurt you like the reviews on here make it seem.

So far there isn't a crazy amount of content. My friends got this as our flavour of the week game, but boy howdy was it a blast. The gunplay carries it hard alongside the set dressing / art direction. A lot of the puzzles / blocked routes and such can feel really arbitrary or forced, but it's still worth your money nonetheless.

For the 5 Hours I got out of this, it was worth the $20AUD. + It'll get more levels / updates that I'm sure will be worth coming back for!

I'm 20 hours in, still in chapter 1. So far, I could easily recommend this game. Combat is fun, a little janky but satisfying. Characters are believable and written well enough that I don't want to skip all the dialogue. It reminds me of morrowind, more than any other Elder Scrolls game, but in all the best ways.

The dark fantasy setting is extremely sick, and the world lives up to the set out expectations of how nasty and horrible everything has become. The art is astounding at times if a little inconsistent.

While Vein is very early access feeling, it is comprehensive in scope, like it's inspirations in project zomboid, it is ambitious as hell, but having played the demo a year ago and seeing where it is now, I'm confident the game can reach it's goals, and given the very playable state it's in now, I can easily recommend it.

There are bugs, but they're minor and usually visual, not game breaking. You get insane freedom in this game and can really RP any character wonderfully.

God tier experience. Perfect, wonderful, broken, and buggy friendslop. Even though one of us kept crashing, we couldn't stop playing because it was that fun. Worth the $10AUD easy
