Early Access Review
It's too unpolished for an early access game, maybe its animations maybe something else but everything feels like crap. Refunded and added to watch list for later.

They introduced Premier as if it would fight cheaters – but let’s be honest, someone who pays $20 for cheats can easily pay $12.50 for Premiere. Nothing changes.

Valve refuses to add hardware bans because cheaters are a business. They don’t want them gone – they buy new premiere accounts, skins, cases and keep the market alive. Out of 10 games I play, at least 3 have obvious cheaters. Play at night after 1 AM and you’ll lose your mind. That alone shows how massive the cheating population is, and how much money Valve makes from them. Instead of fixing the root problem, they just keep it at a “profitable level.”

On top of that, the game itself feels worse: bad servers, broken hit reg, VAC does nothing, and updates that focus more on skins than gameplay. It’s sad, because CS deserved better – but Valve clearly doesn’t care about the players. We keep getting case after case, skin after skin, but nothing meaningful to improve the actual game. CS2 feels less like a competitive shooter and more like a storefront for gambling.

Tick rate still garbage, matchmaking filled with smurfs and cheaters. VAC is a complete joke. Optimization? none. Nothing has changed, because Valve simply doesn’t care. As long as people keep opening cases and trading skins, they’re happy.

And that’s the real problem: this company doesn’t treat players like humans, just wallets. The cheating crisis alone shows how little respect they have for their community. CS2 is not a celebration of Counter-Strike’s legacy – it’s Valve milking the brand while giving us the bare minimum.

Honestly, it’s embarrassing that one of the most legendary franchises in gaming history has been reduced to this. CS deserves better, players deserve better – but Valve will never deliver as long as money comes first.

Bought Elite back in 2020, jumped in, couldn’t figure out how to fly, almost crashed, and rage-quit after 30 minutes. That was it for me… until two weeks ago. I decided to give it another shot after seeing some of the recent (Odyssey) updates, and holy crap, this game is unmatched. I feel so damn sorry for missing the Thargoid Wars and ignoring this masterpiece for four years.

I’ve tried Starfield (no thanks, Howard), X4 (too old), No Man’s Sky (fun for a while, but 60+ hours in, it just gets repetitive), and even Star Citizen (30 FPS on a 4070 S Ti for a couple of planets and a not-even-half-finished game? Yeah, no). None of these games even come close to what Elite offers.

This is a mind-blowing space sim that gives you the entire freaking Milky Way, modeled with real astronomical data. We’re talking billions of star systems, actual planet landings (yes, you can land on planets with the Odyssey update), and iconic destinations like Sagittarius A* and the Solar System. The graphics? Stunning. The ship mechanics? Deep and immersive. The lore? Rich and layered. And don’t even get me started on the dogfights—space combat in this game is on a whole other level.

There’s something for everyone: different missions at every station and hub, different playstyles for exploration, bounty hunting, mining, trading and more. Into galactic politics? Powerplay adds lore-driven action gameplay. Want to land on a planet, hop in your planetary vehicle, and roam around? You got that too. Prefer managing your ship’s power in the heat of a dogfight to outmaneuver your enemies? Yep, it’s all there. Feel like grabbing a gun and fighting on foot? Absolutely. and it's an MMO.

I could go on and on about everything you can do, but honestly, the best part is discovering it yourself.

If you’re just starting out and using a keyboard and mouse, trust me on this: swap roll and yaw controls. Put roll on the keyboard (A and D) and yaw on the mouse—it makes flying so much easier. If you’re unsure how to do it, Google it, or add me and I’ll help you. Also, do yourself another favor and search ‘what is Elite rebuy?’—it will save you and your ship :)

And also don’t forget to check out the EliteDangerous subreddit—seriously, the community there is super welcoming and helpful with literally anything you need.

Honestly, if space sims had their own 'souls-like' category, the standard would be called elite-like. Remember, this game is tough to learn and takes time, but absolutely worth it.

The game offers stunning graphics, dynamic weather that impacts gameplay, and a balanced PvPvE system that keeps both PvE and PvP players engaged. However, it pushes microtransactions quite heavily because game is free, has occasional server issues, and some quests can feel repetitive over time after endgame.

This MMO is the one I’ve been waiting for all these years, and after getting used to the graphics, I just can’t go back to older games like ESO and WoW. If the missing parts are addressed and more content is added for both PvE and PvP, this game’s success will go beyond being a short-lived hit—it will become a beloved game for many years to come.
