Really entertaining! Have in mind it's a visual novel, so you're led through a story more than there being too much action, however they build in another game mechanic that i didn't expect to be there, but i don't want to spoil it.
The art is absolutely amazing and everyone is really in character here. You can tell they didn't take themselves too serious in a good way. There is a lot of hints to past games from the Sonic series to SEGA games too. All in all i was very entertained and i love it. Definitely would've paid for it as well, so i really hope they make more of those.

The First Tree is more story than gameplay. The world, the soundtrack and the story are really beautiful, but it's also a LOT of running. Mostly running. I don't want to call it bad, but there is a lot that could be fixed or improved. There is a nice option in the game i really like (can't say because of spoilers), especially when you felt down in the past few years. It's worth a playthrough because it's short but that's also one of the reason why i'd recommend getting it in a sale.
