It's excellently designed from top to bottom, and it's kept me consistently engaged for a very long time. As one piece of advice, don't go for Completionist++ if you ever remotely value your life.

Early Access Review
My recommendation comes down to this:
If you are considering buying this game to the point you are reading this review, it's worth buying.

This is an incredible game, and as it stands, a genre-defining piece of software, and yet somehow underrated.

I suppose the one person I probably wouldn't flat-out recommend this game to, is someone that lacks a lot of intrinsic motivation. There are aspects of the game where one can find extrinsic motivation, but fundamentally, the game is built for someone to do things and make decisions for and by themselves. In other words, maybe don't pick this game up if you don't like Minecraft.

This is a game that has a near-constant release of high-quality development logs that give a level of insight, understanding, and appreciation that no other game (that I know of) has. So much so that it is very often the highlight of my week (as sad as that sounds, I promise it's not). With the upcoming update (scheduled for December 1st, at the time of writing), this game will only continue to get better.

But beyond all else, the one key aspect of why I keep coming back to this game, even with all the other experiences available, is because it features the best interaction and locomotion systems of any VR game (or games in general, for that matter) in existence, which I must say, really does make any other experience feel lacking. Which I suppose could be good or bad depending on how you look at it, but I can say for certain that it's made me realize just how incredible VR as a medium can currently be.
