Early Access Review
I think this is a very good game for a lot of reasons and I will probably update this review at some point in the future. The main reason I like this game is because the dev reads every single one of these reviews. That being said, I think I finally found a bug to report!

*SPOILER WARNING*

In Baiaa, I was speaking to Nemak, but the description says Thundil. When you ask who he is, he says Nemak.

Edit: WOW I didn't expect you'd respond so quick!
I found another one: in the maze in Baiaa, room 7 (aka corpse room B), the description tells of "three doors, one north, one south, and one east" but the player came from the western door, so it should probably be ".... one north, one west, and one east" (and also the map is correct! wish I found that sooner lol)

Also the room that has the map has both of these in the list:
"Corpse room A" and
"Corpse Room B"
I am definitely guilty of being inconsistent with my proper nouns and I feel your pain :3

Thank you a bunch for the fixes and complements and improvements!

Play if you want, and you can even advance in the game without spending money. You have to replace money with time though. Also the gameplay changes a lot as you progress through tiers, at least for airplanes and probably boats.

I am not recommending this game because the developer/publisher Gaijin delete valid criticism on their forum. I am not surprised a gaming company can exist like this. They have a model of encouraging players to spend money while trying to purge players who don't want to spend money.

I originally played and quit in 2014/2015. I came back a few days ago and I played some of the boats. It was OK I guess. The gameplay is very different from world of warships, so not comparable. I quit this game in 2015 because modern day national flags were given away to all players for free. Then, in 2015, Gaijin decided to make ALL flags cost 500 Golden Eagles, the in-game premium currency. It pissed me off at the time since I used them on basically all my planes, but w/e I guess.

I found out the reason for the change was because some players were team killing other players who had flags of certain countries. The prototypical example here is a USA flag on a tank in a Russian server. There's more to come, but this is basically the situation:

Give players something cool for free. Players rejoice.
Problem: Some people are team killing other players because of the flag on their tank.
Obvious solution: Harsh penalty for team killing under certain circumstances. After all, the game already detects team killing.
Other obvious solution: Take team killing out of the game, at least for certain game modes.
Less normal solution: Make certain flags cost Golden Eagles.
Heavy-handed solution: Take away all flags.
Scummy solution: Make all flags cost 500 Golden Eagles, more than other decorations.

Guess which one Gaijin chose? Yes, the solution that doesn't actually solve anything, and instead lines their pockets. I would actually be a little OK with this if Gaijin gave *any* justification like "Oh we forgot we wanted to make flags cost money" but 500 Golden Eagles is actually more expensive than all of the other decorations that were already in the game. They broke their own precedent. Their stated justification about reducing team killing because of players using flags is horribly dishonest.

I knew all this stuff years ago, but what made me uninstall the game today has 2 reasons. Compare their solution to a crime. If you're the victim of a crime, do you punish the criminal and the victim, or just the criminal? Well, Gaijin decided to punish the victim (the person with a flag who was team killed) and the criminal (they can't team kill based on a flag). Except you can still get team killed if you bought a flag and decorate yourself with it. So Gaijin's solution doesn't actually solve anything.

The other reason? At the time, a lot of players were making a ruckus on the forums. Gaijin had a bunch of their employees post to the forums supporting the change (that's fine I guess) but players who were complaining about the change got silenced. So I am not going back to this game. They could at least be like another russian game dev who listened to feedback from players for a certain boat game.
