I started playing this game a couple days before beta launch. Didn't think I'd get caught up in it honestly. I enjoy SIM games like My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock and I even played Pumpkin Days for over a year. When I fired up the game my first impression was ooOO pretty! Now over 134 streams later at about 2 hours a stream I'm hooked (@doyaheartme on YT)

I'm not the most prolific decorator or gardener - I'm still trying to find all the stuff for Temple bundles. I keep logging back in over and over again. Why? It's a great combination of running around on my own but bumping into other players when I want to be social. Granted we do need more "community" events but I get a kick out of the Flow Tree grove and getting together with others to cut down trees. Last night we were waiting for 'omw' palians and someone dropped a honey stick thingie(I forget what its' called heh) to draw all the nearby bugs and we were running around tossing bug bombs like giddy school children. No it's not an MMO but I actually like this much better. I absolutely love the new 'node' system that allows us to harvest and know that someone else nearby will also be able to harvest that node - especially effective for the more rare finds. I'm looking forward to more areas and more npcs and continuing lore/story - which I find really interesting. It's been a long time since I've been as involved in a game as I am in Palia. Nope, not perfect but oh so close - all they have to do is add some action areas and I'll never ever leave. That said I've noticed a low growl in Bahari Bay that has me wondering where that is coming from! It's a good calm but fun game that is free to play. I actually do buy costumes to help the dev team but there is never any pressure to do so. At one point there was grass growing through our gardens.. we put up a fuss and the devs made sure to implement the fix with the next patch. They do listen. So I encourage those who aren't sure to enter this game with an open mind and stop comparing to what has come before. If you enjoy SIM style games you'll enjoy this game... if you are just looking to grief noobs this game is not for you. My fellow palians..I'll see you in game :)

Great game for those who enjoy the lifestyle elements in rpg's. I find myself playing for hours just keeping the farm going and taking care of animals. I've played both single player and multiplayer and right now single player is the most fun.. although the partner and I have played hours in multi and we are looking forward to the future for that aspect! Cosmetics are addictive..the tshirt designs are adorable and collectible (I'm going to have to buy a storage shed just for clothing!) Fun, well though out game with a stellar hard working dev team! Definitely worth the early-access - I have definitely played my money's worth!!
