RimWorld is a highly addictive game that somehow gets you attached to the characters within the game itself (I know it's said). Not only do you get to survive however you want and wherever you want, the in-depth research and production options are amazing. This is one of the only games that have found an excellent balance between the survival aspects (farming, buiding, medical etc etc) and fighting (being raided, hunting animals, saving other colonists etc etc). It is honestly just a brilliant game to buy if you are looking for a really in-depth survival game where you manage all colonist's from above.
