Mortal Kombat 1 is kind of a beacon of hope in modern triple A gaming for me. The character roster is boasting with fan favs from both the 3D and 2D eras of the game, as well as giving them new breaths of life. Character design is on point, combos are fun to string, controls are better than ever. Hell even the AI opponents got an upgrade, they feel almost too realistic when fighting on hard.

Story was amazing and had so many callbacks to older titles it'll make even the oldest of MK fans happy.

Now the only issue I have with the title is PC performance and Megan Fox's voice acting. The issues on PC will probably be ironed out in time, theres weird bugs like the klassic brutality making the opponents head float or the occasional character model keeping their mouth wide open. But I'm happy we got a bit of jank in a good game rather than a polished turd. Now, Megan Fox's voice acting needs to be addressed; if she had done a good job, it would've been totally fine, but theres such a lack of emotion and inflections that you can almost see her in the recording booth when nitara talks.

All in all, as an MK fan that has played them all, from the arcade games to the 3d games and all the way till now, I have to say this is a 9/10 title from NRS.

Almost all the core issues Cyberpunk had have been fixed. I recently started replaying and I've been having a genuinely good time.
