So far just as narratively gripping as Kodaka and Uchikoshi's other works, if not more. I'll update this review as I play more of the game, but so far the tactics gameplay is also very fun and well designed.

I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time. It's like the creator tapped into what anyone who loved the era of SNES/PS1 RPGs and said let's do that but with a mature story (but one that still has fun), excellent and snappy pacing, and major quality of life improvements. Amazing.
