Good experience, well executed. Short and very cheap. Give it a try!

very buggy right now with a lost of desyncing and problems arising in multiplayer; get it later - if at all

The first part got me invested! The second part builds nicely on that investment, and I've grown to absolutely adore so many of the characters even more. Eustace, my beloved. Darcy and Angela are fantastic - and I've thought the character development of everyone, Hedwig included has been really well thought out and relatable.

One change of pace is that there is more overt sexual content than the first part, so that might not be absolute everyone's cup of tea.

I just can't wait for part 3! I wholly recommend Misericorde to everyone I can.

It's good! I went into it with no expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. I'm not usually one for VNs but this one has had me reconsider that stance!

The interplay between characters is wonderful, and I don't dislike a single one of them. The art direction and music are perfectly immersive and really get you in the right head space for a 15th century murder mystery.

If you enjoy D&D or CRPGs in general, I wholeheartedly recommend this game. A load of love and care has gone into making Baldur's Gate 3! If you're a fan of the franchise or the Forgotten Realms setting more generally, you'll be thrilled at the various references and attention to detail that really helps brings Faerûn to life.

The game does a great job at translating the pen and paper D&D into a video game format, maintaining the tactile feel and the excitement of rolling for outcomes, taking the time to add your various bonuses in a way that makes it easy to understand where they're coming from for new and experienced players alike.

If you're coming into the game expecting it to be a one-to-one of 5e D&D however, you should know that there are some notable changes to action economy when it comes to no restrictions on spells per turn and what can be done as a bonus action. (Bonus action shove, most notably). I wouldn't ever say these changes are a negative however, they work well in the context of it being a PC game and takes advantage of the fact tracking battlefield hazards and conditions are all automatic.

If there is any critique that can be levelled at the game it's that Act 3 is a bit less polished than Act 1 and 2. Not just in the matter of performance and technical issues, but also in the pacing and presentation of some questlines in the latter part of Act 3. I couldn't help but get the feeling that they wanted to do more with some of the quests and boss fights, but simply had to cut some a little short in order to get the game out the door.

I will also say, spoiler free, that the ending - or rather the 'post ending celebration and recap' you'd find in most RPGs - felt a little flat for me, as though they wanted to just get it over with! It was a little disappointing after the many hours of fun and investment.

In spite of those critiques, I'm ready for a second playthrough and hope they can build on what they've put out! Even though Larian aren't well known for putting out DLC, I think the game could very much benefit from an expansion on some of the questlines and story beats in Act 3.

Nier Automata's a game that's rightly criticised for the quality of the PC port and the lack of support following its release to steam. If you can't abide by companies offering such lazy ports then you should avoid the game on principle alone.

However, one of the great benefits of playing on PC are the modding communities that arise around games - there are fixes to the common issues with the game in the form of the FAR community patch (which help to fix resolution, borderless windowed and framerate issues). I can't say anything to the viability of using keyboard and mouse as I used a controller from the beginning but it definitely feels like a game where a controller's preferable so I highly recommend one if you don't mind it.

As for the game itself I'll say it was a VERY pleasant surprise in ways that I think are partly helped by the fact I was largely ignorant to the game's story and mechanics despite playing it a full 3 years after release. It was a 10/10 near perfect experience (no game can be perfect, okay). It's difficult to explain why without going in to spoiler territory as it's a narrative focused game but I'll try regardless.

The soundtrack is phenomenal, the visual direction is stunning (barring some weirdly muddy textures on some objects). The combat is challenging and satisfying to get to grips with but not particularly difficult. It's unafraid to change the gameplay or camera perspective up on you in order to help suit narrative moments but it was always enjoyable and felt like a fun change of pace rather than something jarring. I felt continually engaged and the gameplay goes hand in hand with the story such that you never feel like an observer. The story's structure is linear but benefits greatly from the medium and knows that. It's not a game where you can say "it could just as well have been a movie". I never felt myself fighting against where the game was going, either.

There are a lot more articulate people who have no doubt poured over and dissected the game by now, this far on since release, but I'm glad I knew next to nothing going into it. I finished the story and had rather mixed emotions. Thrilled at having played it and all the positives that go with finishing a great game but also sad that it was over and the very real feeling that there might not be anything quite like it. It kind of reminded me of a more polished version of games you'd find back in the PS2 era. The palette and visuals of games like Shadow of the Colossus or Ico. It's hard to quantify feel as that's all very subjective but I'd be amiss if I didn't mention the moments of weirdly nostalgic glee I felt whilst playing it here and there.

Play it, if not on the PC then on the PS4. It's often on sale at 50% off on Steam and at that price you can't really go wrong.

I don't often play games like these but it's free. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least, the puzzles are fun as is the final boss encounter where things get changed up. The art direction coupled with the sound design is just awesome and they go hand in hand with one another - crazy to think that just one person put the game together if you discount the sound designer and musicians!

Definitely recommend! My only gripe is the same thing echoed by many - I wish it was longer.

Adds a great amount of meaningful content to various parts of the game - this should be the standard for paradox DLC in the future, and the fact that much more lacklustre pieces of DLC exist at the same price point makes this shine even more!
