easily one of my favorite games, the only disappointing thing is that it ends.

coming from other stealth games i appreciate that you don't have to just Stealth Archer your way through the game. stealth and interacting is pretty rewarding where you don't really expect it to. just talking grants access otherwise impermissive environments, and it's strangely rewarding the first time around to discover a secret through dialogue from doing so. there's plenty of nooks and crannies with lots of opportunities to tackle levels in a multitude of different ways, so even doing stealth there's not always a "right", specific option on how you should roll through things. maybe pursuing mastery challenges for places it's more narrow, but even the major contract has several avenues for you to exploit.

likewise, going all out is fun too though i did less of it (except for chugmart). there being a function that puts enemies into fear after you've slain so many nearby, stunned, whatever, was pretty cool, felt like it was emphasizing what massacre had just happened. my only gripe is that i wish some weapons had more durability because i'd find myself striving to find the next item on the ground, and some items feel just downright weak but it makes sense. i dont think it should be an instakill thing but i just wish using the hatchet was more rewarding, or even if throwing it had greater function, like dealing damage on the toss instead of just stunning like every other object.

the setting is really interesting, i have a lot to say about it but i think it's one of those things you should experience. i appreciate the low-dark fantasy aspects of the world a lot with the mix of industrial machinery, it's uncommon (to me, anyways) to see anything like it.

the anims are great, too, especially coming from the first game. i used to play the ♥♥♥♥ out of gow3 and reach so having finishers was honestly the main selling point of the game for me. they're surprisingly intricate and seem to be similar to reach's system, whereby direction matters a lot, and uniquely (though idk if this is right) speed also contributes. completely different games still. i also liked that you could do takedowns from any angle as long as you were unnoticed. i, admittedly, didn't know this halfway through the game after two level masteries. i don't know why it didn't click but im glad because it makes the game feel a thousand times better to just run someone down and hurricanarama them. some amount of the moves looked something you'd see watching puroresu.

anyways, i've collected all outfits and chugmart is forever blighted by yenneloch's agent. i don't think it was worth the amount but from what i was reading, it wasn't intended to be.

cool game. would love to experience for the first time again.

free bans and unworking heists, alternatively dedicating a thousand some hours for complete dissatisfaction. if you want to run into infuriating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ technical details in a game that's been around for a decade i can recommend, otherwise maybe try learning a craft or skill.

the support for this game is a joke and has always been, ig unless you'd like to talk to some underpaid indian dude just to tell you things are "legit bans", and have no investigation its great.

btw, if u get flagged for anything cheating-wise and get caught twice (once is a character wipe, resetting ur stats completely) u lose ur cloud saves on rockstar permanently on that account and can't unlink ur steam from rockstar to make anew.
