Early impressions, it’s good, really good.

Despite its fidelity it’s one of the most responsive shooters available. Impressive, fast, fun, well polished, feels awesome.

Very well optimized.

Really tried to like this game, but between poor optimization, visuals, and clunky input, I just couldn't get into it.

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One does a lot of things right, and a few things wrong.

Pros: Part One DLC brings large levels, tighter arenas, larger quantities of your hardest foes, and a few new enemies to keep things interesting. In all respects, it is a proper DLC, new areas, a few new powerup options, and a continuation of the story. This is what we need more of in the industry, a true expansion.

Cons: New enemies are designed to only be defeated in very specific ways, for example, one REQUIRES you to use the microwave mod on the plasma gun, absolutely anything else WILL NOT WORK. Another requires you use a hitscan weapon like the sniper mod for the heavy cannon or the ballista. This removes some of the open-ended potential that has made the recent doom games so interesting lately by forcing you too deal with different enemies and forces you to play in a specific manner, which is a little disappointing.

9/10, Highly recommend, an amazing adrenaline rush you're sure to love, especially if you enjoyed the base game!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance can only be described as a labor of love, proving that you can create an immersive and fantastic RPG without magic or fantasy. Simply put, Kingdom come deliverance is THE historically accurate RPG to play. With incredible visuals, an immersive soundtrack, a great story, and rewarding game play, this is an RPG you simply DO NOT WANT TO MISS.

If you're reading steam reviews, you're obviously curious, however it’s difficult to sort through the one liner reviews and year-old bug complaints, so I'm going to try to make it easier by breaking it down. First off, I've put about 60 hours into this game at the point of writing this review, and I can honestly say I haven't run into any game breaking bugs during that time. That includes the times I've tried to climb up mountains, or running through thick vegetation obviously not meant for traversal, or jumping into weird places from the castle walls. If I did get stuck, I could get out with enough jumping every time, and I haven't had any terrible crashes or quest breaking bugs. Then again, maybe I'm just very lucky.

Visuals:
The visuals in this game really are top notch. The forests are some of the most immersive I've seen in any video game, the placement of the trees, plants, and wildlife are lifelike and most importantly, not repetitive. It makes the world a pleasure to explore. You’ll see some reused player models from time to time, but with the sheer number of NPCs, it’s not a big deal. 9.5/10

Audio:
I really enjoyed the audio this game. The soundtrack remains contemporary, while enhancing the games environment. Not much to complain about. 8/10

Story:
I won't say much about the story to avoid spoilers. But I'll say this, its touching, enjoyable, has some nice twists, and the characters are human. No one is perfect or even tries to appear that way, it’s nice to see a game where not everyone is either an unmistakable force for good or evil, or some genius tactician or an unbeatable warrior. Everyone is just as fallible as you are and you get to see both the good and the bad of many of the characters. It’s refreshing to see some human qualities, and it really shows the skill of the game’s writers. 8.5/10

Combat:
Now to the thing everyone's talking about: combat. You'll either love it or hate it, and I think the majority are in the latter camp. Personally though? I liked it a lot. The combat in Kingdom come deliverance really ties in with its RPG elements. When you begin Henry is slow, having never really experienced real combat before can we blame him? You need to learn to walk before you can run. You just began your story so don't expect to be clearing out all of the town guard and eating 200 cheese wheels to replenish your health like you would in Skyrim, that's not what Kingdom Come is. So, what is Kingdom come? As you (the player), and Henry (the hero) improve in skill with the game's various mechanics, you gradually to be reckoned with, and it’s so much more satisfying knowing in the late game knowing where you began. You will fight many opponents stronger, faster, and better than you. At first, you need to outsmart them or just straight out avoid them, but as time progresses, you'll be looking for stronger opponents to test your might. Swordplay is creative and fun, but has a steep learning curve to get the hang of. You need to rely on your reaction time to block blows effectively, and then try to land combos or feints, which may be parried much of the time. Hand to hand combat is fairly well done, can't complain about it too much. Archery? Archery is one of the more difficult mechanics to get the hang of, you don't have a cross hair and have little more to go off of than "okay, my hand is here, and the arrow rises to about that high on the bow and a little to the left, so I should be able to hit my target if I line it up and adjust it a little right?" To add to this initial frustration, at lower levels the arrow can fly completely off target from time to time, so if you want to ditch melee combat early game because you find it too difficult, you may be disappointed. I love that the game requires you to get good at the mechanics before you can really excel, and it makes it difficult without being clunky. 8/10

Other gameplay:
The stealth in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is pretty standard compared to most games we see today. The additions it makes however are attached to its UNIQUE ARMOR SYSTEM. The noise you make is directly related to the kind of armor your wearing, as is how visible and conspicuous you are. This means you’ll have a tough time sneaking around in a shiny suit of armor that sounds like a kid banging two frying pans together. There are also a few minigames included, such as those for pickpocketing, lockpicking, and dice (Farkle). 8/10

Overall Kingdom Come: Deliverance is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played in a while, its not to often I come across a game that I can play just about all day and not get burnt out after an hour or too. If you’re on the edge on whether or not to get this game, trust me, it’s worth getting into.

Elite Dangerous is an amazing flight sim experience, but before you buy we should go into more detail and discuss what it is, and it isn't.

First and foremost, it's a flight sim, its grindy, and if you want instant action open play isn't for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for an adventure look no further. Elite dangerous is a flight sim with a grind, you won't have your dream ship right away, or any time soon for that matter, but with some time you'll get there, and while the destination is great, the journey is an important part as well. If you found any enjoyment in games like euro truck simulator, you'll have no problem playing this game whatsoever. Personally I wasn't to enthralled in with the genre myself, but likewise this is a game where you can put in 5+ hours in a sitting wiuthout feel burned out. Go from humble beginnings to feared bounty hunter, successful trader, miner, a notorious pirate, or any mix depending on what you feel like doing that day, you aren't locked down and the galaxy is at your fingertips... So long as you upgrade your jump drive.

Some features of note:
+Great Gameplay
+Huge Universe
+Plenty of customization
+Great Audio
+Enjoyable Graphics

-Grindy, (almost absurdly so if you don't figure out how to make money early on.)
-You will rarely run into other players unless you specifically look for them or join another person's crew.
-Its a "five more minutes" kind of a game.

Gameplay:
The flight mechanics are SPOT ON, the physics are great, each and every dogfight feels special and your ship will feel unique based on how you decide to outfit it. The game is completely playable with a mouse and keyboard (after reworking some of the controlls, I reccomend setting roll to A&D, throttle to the mouse wheel, and pitch/yaw to the mouse axis.) But this game really shows its true colors once paired with a HOTAS or flight stick, it's a very immersive and enjoyable experience. There are more bindings than I can figure out where to place, so whatever your gameplay style you'll be able to put together an experience that fits your preferences. As a side note: Pick your fights, your starting sidewinder isn't going to be taking down any of the top of the line ships regardless of how good you are. Gameplay is self driven, so if you want to do something, you do it, if you need direction you'll probably have a harder time, the only story in this game is your own. (There are some nice tutorials though.)

Graphics/Optimisation:
No complaints here, the game runs great on relatively meagre hardware, so whatever your set up, if you've taken the effort to create a steam account there's a good chance your PC can handle this game. The graphics are nice, not jaw dropping, but still more than good enough for you to occasionally sit back and enjoy the view.

TL;DR If you're looking for a flight/space sim but don't mind a grind, its worth every cent. If you want instant action you're better off looking else where.

8/10 learning-to-land simulator

Early Access Review
Wallpaper engine is one of those programs that will truly change your PC experience, and for just $4 even at full price, its a steal. It supports multiple monitors, stretching across multiple monitors if that's what you like, sound, interactive wallpapers the list goes on. This is a must buy, you won't regret it for a second.

CRITICAL UPDATE!!!! THE GAME NOW SUPPORTS 60FPS!!!!!

TL;DR

It's a great game that received some bad rep at launch, though perhaps not recommended for those new to Naruto as it starts very late in the storyline. The gameplay and story are awesome and local multiplayer is a blast to play. Online is peer-to-peer so if one player has a bad connection both suffer, luckily there is an indicator bar that tells you how good the connection will be. The game requires little in terms of hardware to run, just a DX11 compatible GPU, I would definitely recommend this one.

Intro/Comments on Performance:

Where to begin... Upon its release NSUNS4 recieved bad rep for having terrible performance and a 30fps cap (which I will touch on later **no longer applies**), I for one never had an issue with performance running a meager phenom ii quad core from '09 and an overclocked 7950 running the game maxed with super sampling down from 4k. So if performance is a concern for you there's no need to worry, as long as you have a DX11 compatible GPU you should be able to run the game just fine. **EDIT 60fps option has been added to the game** The game is locked at 30fps however, due to the way the animations are created and low frame times it still feels fluid and responsive, this coming from a CS:GO LEM who can't stand less than 100fps in a first person shooter, though the cap isn't an issue, I still wish it wasn't there.

The Game:

When I first picked up the NSUNS series I wasn't expecting much, a generic fighting game involving characters from the naruto series right? As it turns out, I was in for a pleasant surprise. The series became a staple when it came to playing with friends and NSUNS4 is no exception. NSUNS4 is a colorful, action-packed game that's fairly easy to pick up but still manages to have a relatively high skill ceiling. There are a large variety of characters (including around 8 Narutos and 8 Sasukes) and the battles feel epic and fast-paced. While there are many mechanics that differ the naruto series from other fighting games, probably the most discerning is its substitution mechanic, which allows you to basically stop taking damage for a moment and teleport behind your opponent, the catch however, is you only have 4 of these substitutions and they only begin recharge after a cooldown period and its easy for your opponent to continue their assault if you don't immediately take action, timing and "meter management" are everything. In terms of "new" mechanics compared to the older games, you can now switch between teammates in team fights and are no longer restricted to your primary character, switching mid-attack allows you to extend your combos and really makes the feature feel like a seamless edition to the game. Local multiplayer is flawless, though online multiplayer is a bit of a hit or miss. The game has been designed to use a peer-to-peer connection, which means very little in terms of servers or maintenance on the dev's part however if either one of the players has a bad connection or has trouble maintaining the games fps limit. The game time can slow down or become a stuttery mess with a "connecting" bar popping up in the middle of your screen frequently. That with the fact that the game uses open mics and no option to mute opponents, multiplayer can potentially be a nightmare. That being said, if both players have a good connection, can run the game fine (as most can), and either mute their mics or don't have a lot of background noise, the multiplayer works great and can result in some very memorable battles. The story is great, though it starts late in the storyline so its definitely not friendly to those new or unfamiliar to the series. The story features some fantastic battles, though cut-scenes switch between animations and slideshows, which may not sound appealing however overall it's very well done and I would even recommend the game for the story alone as both it and the multiplayer each are great in their own regard. If you're into fighting games, a fan of Naruto, or just looking for something new, this game is great and I would reccomend it to just about anyone.

I would rate this game a solid 9/10
