Early Access Review
Solid 9/10. There are some game breaking bugs that happen for no apparent reason, ie. bosses taking no damage causing you to alt+f4 to save your gear.

The looting, gunplay, and cooking are all great.

Selaco is a love letter to "hard" fps games. The standard difficulties are a decent challenge for anyone familiar with the genre, and the standard levels will take a normal amount of time as the old doom levels did for players on their first runthroughs. As it is, the game is worth the price point imo. The only criticism I may offer is that it is too easy to get lost backtracking for secrets.

As it stands, TW Warhammer 3 is not worth purchasing. It was never worth purchasing unless you already had TW Warhammer 1 and 2 already.

The community has overlooked past bugs existing for well over a year because we were hopeful. There are minimal gameplay improvements over TW Warhammer 2 besides adding new factions to play, who are lacking in units compared to previous factions from TW Warhammer 1 and 2.

The DLC pricing has reached absurd levels, with one DLC costing the total price of getting TW Warhammer 1 and 2 when they are on sale. Getting TW Warhammer 1 and 2 for less than 30 dollars would give you 100's of hours of content.

NEW EDIT TO REVIEW

The game is becoming slightly better and they are working on fixing their mistakes. However I do stand by my previous review and would recommend someone new to the series to get TW Warhammer 1 & 2 together first.

Early Access Review
The game is WIP but the devs are constantly updating it. It has all the core gameplay of the Wargame series but the AI are not omniscient cheaters. There are some overtuned factions/units but the game is a ton of fun. If you are into strategy games and the Wargame series in particular, this is a no brainer. I do not normally recommend any Early Access games, even if I like the devs, but this game has more content than triple AAA releases and it actually works.

From a purely gameplay perspective, this game is dissappointing when compared to Wolfenstein: The New Order. The gun play, character development, and overall story arc is just... meh. The new dual wielding system is a welcome touch, as are the new hatchet takedowns. Other than those two additions, the rest of the game is very lackluster compared to TNO. BJ feels like an unstoppable UberMensch at the lower difficulties while feeling like a wet rag on higher difficulties where most enemies kill you in one second of stepping out of cover. The AI is very good. They work together well and challenge you tactically, which is what they should do. However, once alerted, they are aware of your location 24/7 and you don't have any chance to flank around them as they will already be rushing to meet you at your new corner. You could backtrack to the beginning of the level and take an alternate path, only to be met by all the enemies you thought you bamboozled. To sum it up, the gunplay of TNC leaves a lot to be desired when compared to TNO.

The second problem with TNC, is the story. It is flat. There is no direction and it feels like a jumbled mess at times. The characters are far more cliche now than they were in the first one. There is a black revolutionary, a communist/marxist revolutionary, and... BJ. BJ is now a texan who can really only make quick quips about how evil the Nazi's are, or about his family. They took a character who had a decent amount of complexity from TNO and just made him a guy who shoots things. There are a few character deaths in the story that should have made an impact, but really didn't. The game climaxes at the end when you kill the BBEG, and that's it. There isn't a great bossfight like in TNO. There are a few bad guys between you and the final cutscene, which is just that, a cutscene. It felt very rushed, and beating the game on 2nd hardest difficulty only took 8 hours (the hardest is locked), whereas in TNO it took close to 20, but TNO is a much better game than TNC. If you liked TNO, you may be dissappointed with TNC.

First mission, would have all rookies get one shot by the same advent commander. 10/10 would hard mode again.

Great game and recommend it to anybody who is looking for a tactical shooter that is still fast paced enough to not leave you bored.
