Early Access Review
Everything you could ask of a train simulator on an operational level.

Each locomotive has a distinct gameplay purpose. You have to make a conscious choice in what motive power you choose to take on a job, because choosing the wrong loco can either prove frustrating or disastrous.

While a non-issue in other simulators, those games aren't as focused on the greater operations of a railway; i.e. running revenue jobs, shunting, maintaining your equipment. What it might lack in scope, it makes up for in a focused, fun, and faithful-to-life game.

I currently haven't experienced the game in VR, which if I recall was the intended way to play the game, but I sincerely do. It might even become my preferred way to play!

I was told to do this by the game, and I'll comply.

Living up to it's name, SimplePlanes is simply a plane builder. Build a plane and fly it around a set of two island. Put guns on your ship and shoot things, put bombs on your ship and bomb things that the game will randomly generate when you have your bomb screen enabled.

Lotta user created planes and map mods, so that's a pretty cool thing.

All-in-all, buy this game. It's pretty good.

probably the best controlling sim (depending on who made your locos) on the market. all the DLC gets pretty expensive but besides that it's good for people wanting the experience of manning different locomotives from all over the world.
