We currently live in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie that uses the monopoly of violence of the state to suppress the workers who the ownership class exploits, and to wage imperialist wars of aggression to further their exploitation and concentrate power into fewer hands. A workers' revolution takes back power from the bourgeois and the organized masses would use their collective power to prevent the newly disempowered rulers from once against creating the wage slaves whose labor they lived from.
