I've played a lot of Bullet Heavens/Survivors Likes, and I have to say this one surprised me. Not to mention the soundtrack is a banger. I haven't bobbed my head to in game music in a long time.

I'll start with what most people are going to balk at; to unlock all of the characters, and get 100% achievements, you must buy the three DLC characters ($0.99 USD as of this review). I'd strongly recommend playing the base game for a while first to make sure this game is going to scratch that itch.

With that out of the way...

As a free game I didn't have the highest expectations. That said, I'm closing in on 100 hrs of playtime, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. There isn't a ton of build diversity as of 1.0, but what is there is really enjoyable. The grind feels rough at first, but once you start getting into the higher difficulties the meta currency starts to flow in fairly quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing additional content, and further polish.

Played for about 6 hours, and then received a message stating my account was banned for cheating. Appealed through their automated system, and it came back as "still banned for botting behavior". I don't run bots, and I've never run bots. They won't tell me what their system detected was a cheat program.

The only thing I can think of that their system detected is an idle game I leave running called "Bard Idle", and they think it has something to do with botting a Bard class?

I'm just glad I didn't sink a lot of time into the game. Don't waste your time unless you're willing to potentially just lose your account.

I love roguelikes/roguelites, so this review could already be considered biased. That being said this game has been thoroughly enjoyable. Every time I think I've seen everything it has to offer some new mechanic peaks around the corner. The sultry whistle it sends my way, and the sparks that fly when our eyes meet, make for an ever evolving relationship of sheer joy.

At almost 100 hours I thought I would have had the game at 100%, and moved on to the next one on my backlog, but alas here I am still discovering new things, and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it. Don't let the humor fool you, though. It's not a facade, but the game also does not pull its punches. You're in for a wild ride full of laughs, tears, and insane depth if you take the plunge.

Phenomenal game. The visuals are outstanding with a water color aesthetic, and the sound track is an absolute delight. Probably the most story rich dialog free game I've ever played.

Solid gameplay, and a satisfying loop make this side scrolling Roguelite worth it. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the genre.

Great game. The match three portion is actually really well done, and the art is beyond phenomenal. Full voice acting to boot.

Art style is good, and the play is decent. Enough "abilities" mix things up.

You farm, and run around town doing annoying errands. Love this game.
