Fun game but terrible menu ui, they've flooded in mtx and are focusing on the battle royale mode. If they want to focus on the cod audience they'll lose everyone else.

Love the game but they need to prioritise fixing bugs and broken ai before they try to sell you more DLC

So far fun but I think the big battle mechanics take away from the experience. They drag on for awhile and you then fight individual battles on top of them. Having played a lot of Legionary's life, Heads will roll and now getting into this; the thing that makes the best experience is story / writing and roguelike elements. A bit more strategy and management is fine for scaling up the scope of your role in the Army, But (so far) it seems like it takes away from what makes the first game really good. Moving a slider back and forth for 15 minutes in a battle with occasionally pressing one button isn't too fun. I'd rather the battles get way more simulated with my cohort's training, my own stats, prior decisions and skill checks in dialogue make up the outcomes. I'll update the review if things change.

I'm not the biggest fighting game guy but Sparking Zero is a lot of fun both on and offline. Gets the look and characterisation of Dragon Ball down perfectly which being a very engaging game to play. Australian online playerbase feels a but skint but what can you do.

Played since Dom 4, big fan of the series but I feel Dominions 6 doesn't do enough to justify being a thing let alone with its price tag. A lot of the changes aren't improvements, it's a lot like re-wording an old essay and using it to pass a new assignment. A lot of nations are still really bland in terms of unique spells, summons, heroes etc. while other nations get even more content over 5. So there's a real imbalance in both content and competitiveness of nations which feels like nothing got tested despite the years between 5 and 6. It's a good game if you're new to the series but otherwise myself and others were let down by the lack of improvements and a lot of steps back.

I played a lot of Pharaoh by Impressions Games as a kid, and while horribly sucking at it, the game was a lot of fun. Having played a fair few city builders and being not satisfied with them one way or another; Songs of Syx scratches the same itch those Impressions Games city builders did.

It has a bit of an initial learning curve but is a very engaging and rewarding game to play. New challenges arise as you scale up in population and incorporate more resources into your city. It's still a WIP so some mechanics are half-cooked but it's still a very enjoyable experience that will only get better with time.

still challenging good fun, what can be played for free is pretty generous so you can determine if you want to give the devs your money or not
