We need melee weapons with which we can shout proper catch phrases about super earth.

But the game is great, its having troubles with server capacity but the last game was at like 7000 and this one is at like 700000 so growing pains are to be expected. Updates to fix issues are coming out as well and each is good and only helps the game

A massive online multiplayer game where you basically run around and shoot people... unless you want to run around and build a base.

Overall i do actually like this game. Some problems i find are that at long distances the people im trying to shoot vanish and other times are there just fine so it seems to be a little strange but at least its not all the way across the map.

I, personally, find this game amazing and if you have a headset, play it. If you don't have one and don't know if you would even like VR, buy something cheap (is $350 cheap? I believe that's the oculus quest price) and try it out, and then agree with me.

There are probably always going to be some issues somewhere or somehow. Personally, I can ignore most of them or they don't effect me enough to matter. The game itself is amazing. The look of the game, the design, I love it all. Its not perfect, I don't believe there will ever be a game that is perfect. But this one hits it out of the park. The story so far is enjoyable, the atmosphere of the game is amazing and the level design and detail is out of this world. Even with the little time i have in so far its amazing. The guns reload is easy to use and you can do parts with a button or with an action yourself, the movement is amazing and some of the best I have seen though little things here and there bring it down slightly, and some are actual bugs.

I address a few points later so I'll skip those but my main issue is the menu, and inventory. I love hording things so not being able to have all the items is a little annoying for me but not that big a downside. Again more an annoyance than anything but forces you to pick and chose what to take and what to throw at some pore dead zombie. The menu though and the fact that i can't have my multi-tool and gun out in my hands at the same time is more annoying. Its not really needed at the same time ever but it would have been nice. I also appear to have issues with the menu as i constantly am bringing out my gun or tool while trying to pick something up from a distance in my right hand. I'll probably get use to it as I play more but still a bit annoying.

There are a few main issues i have been seeing around and they boil down to 4 game points and then one/two not so game points. Lets start with the game points
  1. No smooth walking.
This one doesn't actually exist. The game was built for the "dash" or smooth teleport movement but there is also a full teleport and a smooth movement option. You can even crouch to go though the spaces with the smooth movement as anywhere you can teleport to you can "walk" to as well
  2. Ladders jump at the top after climbing.
Yes, they do. I climb the ladders manually but at the top there really isn't a good way to finish moving up them other than a teleport right now. I don't really have a good idea how to fix this but it currently is in the game this way. There is a teleport you can use to go up the ladder as well but i like the idea of climbing it myself more. I don't believe an animation at the top would be the solution either as that would mean taking control away and moving my character, which I do not like and give motion sickness to a lot more users

  3. Melee damage... where is it?
Honestly, I would have loved to be able to beat a headcrab up with a garbage can lid. But you can't... you can't do that in most games actually... is this just an issue because you can do it in Boneworks? It would be amazing and we may get it added in later, but we don't have it now, so just remember, you can block things just fine, but maybe shoot it in the face as well.

  4. Snapping rotation.
I'm going to be honest here, i have not actually looked for this setting though its apparently supposed to exist in which case this may actually be a bug. But using the joystick to rotate your view snaps around like most other VR titles do. I normally just turn myself around and deal with the cord eventually as I actually don't like the forced movement. Can't wait until we can actually get a nice way to actually move in VR but until then the dash teleport is actually my goto movement method
Now lets look at some of the out of game reasons that i have seen
  1. You have to buy a really expensive computer and the ALSO buy the Valve Index.
No, I mean yes you need a decently new (last few years GPU and CPU) but you can do that for a few hundred dollars and most people will already have it or just may need to upgrade the GPU. As for the headset... you can play with basically any VR headset. If it can be used with Steam you can use it with this game. Its best when using the Index but then again... you can probably say that any VR game is best when using the Index at this point in time.

  2. Forced VR adoption.
Where... where did you come up with this? This is a game trying out new things, on what can be considered a new platform that has been out for years. Half-Life has always been this with each game being a test bed of sorts for some experiment or other in storytelling, gameplay, or even just delivery of content to users. You are going to need VR and while somewhere this will be playable on computer because some modder or other, you won't get the full experience without it.

I'm just getting into the game but its a very nice jRPG though I wish it was not locked at 30fps.

Pros:
Very very nice looking.
Decently responsive though most of the game
nice story

Cons:
30fps lock, though not bad it does slightly affect the combat system's responsiveness.
A character is introduced and then you never truly get to play them.
