After a few days playing this game I can confidently say it it lying and cheating left and right. I was playing on EASY, and had a 99% chance to hit an enemy, and I missed. Of course I didn't take this single event as a baseline - I've seen numerous times that a 75-90% probability hits would miss.

Developers: if you lie in numbers, IT DOES SHOW IN GAMEPLAY. You can't convince me that I'm missing almost every 75% shot, at least 3 out of 4 miss. Also, cover? WHAT COVER? It doesn't work.

Now, I've played X-Com extensively. I've even tried the new crappy games, and even THOSE were closer to what they wrote on the screen. This is just plain ridiculous.

This may have happened because of a bug, and there ARE bugs once you start playing seriously - like the one that made me google around for 2 days until I could find a developer-explained solution, which DIDN'T WORK. Simply put, the game refuses to receive input once you get into the Universal Brotherhood map.

After all this, I can only change my rating and give it a big thumbs DOWN.
DO NOT try this unless you have too much money and/or the nerves and the time to solve bugs for those who should have fixed their own game.

Luckily I got it from Humble Bundle, so I didn't fill the pockets of lazy people with too much money. I'm uninstalling this piece of drek.
