A game that could have been an enjoyable puzzle/narrative journey undermines itself by giving unnecesarry "hints" and doing a lot of the puzzling automatically.

What I mean is the character randomly saying "oh this one is easy" or "I already have the title for this" 3 seconds after opening up a new piece of information. its like ordering a jigsaw puzzle and it comes to your house assembled and laminated with a note. "for your convenience, we did all the work."
On top of that when you open a new bit of info by a new author it immediately notifies you that a new author is added to the notebook. even before you're able to read anything. Why? at least make the author clickable like the mechanic already available. that way you get a bit of a reward. you see a new author, think "oh I dont know that one yet", click, added to the notebook, reward... instead of an instant big white box removing some of the puzzling fun. those big white boxes are also a baffling design descision. in a game where clearly a bunch of effort went into the aesthetics and atmosphere you have these big white boxes appear every 10 seconds.

Could have been enjoyable but the game ruins its own experience.

Really fun arcade rally game. that starts off a bit slow in E and D class but really picks up in C class and only gets more fun from there on out.

The only unfun thing are the cone challenges (in B and A class) the gymkhana stuff from the previous classes were fine and fun. but being given a square field of cones and having to knock each (of the 100 cones) over feels like a chore.
But thats only 2 stages out of many, So overall this is great!

Amazing.

High quality animation.
Great writing.
Great voice acting.
Choices seem impactful though I've only done the 1 playthrough of the first 2 episodes.
Gameplay is not the main draw here, but the management aspect is fun and engaging if a bit simplistic.
I hope the complexity and challenge of that will increase a bit when the heroes level up more in future episodes.

Can't wait for the next episodes.

One minor detail.
I didnt see an option to aquire more inductors. so any other magnets you get are kindof useless.
Edit: I was unaware of the mechanics around how the magnet and inductors work. Though, its not really explained clearly.

That didn't dampen the fun though!

5FP.... IN THE MAIN MENU!
4K on a 4080 grants a whole 5fps, in the main menu which has a static background image.
100% GPU load.

and the cherry on top... in game I get 12fps with the same settings.

The incompetence is astounding.

Started better than any early access game I've ever seen, and has only gotten better since.
