This game is kind of a miracle of hard work, I don't know how they did it. I'm nearing 50 hours at the time of writing this, and I'm still working through the first row of games. There's so many types of games here that everyone might find something they like, but for those who find all types of games interesting, this is a paradise. It's also kind of a hell at times, with me saying "I'm NEVER going to make progress through this" at just about every game so far, only to come back the next day and do precisely that. My advice for anyone who doesn't already have experience playing Famicom-era games: Be patient, be willing to think about different approaches when stuck, and write notes or draw maps.

I bought and finished this a long time ago. Now that it's remastered, I would be remiss to not leave a recommendation. Analgesic's output is always stellar, and this is still one of my favorite retro Zelda-likes. The atmosphere is impeccable, and the playful outlook on design eventually leads to a special reward for anyone who is curious enough to push the boundaries of the game. If you enjoy the structure of Zeldas, and can enjoy surreal or horror-leaning aesthetics, you will be swept away.
