I played the original Attack the Light on mobile and got this as soon as it (finally) went live on Steam. I've mostly not been disappointed so far. The gameplay is good, story's fun and is giving me ideas for some other stuff I'm doing.

There are some quirks that I'm hoping they fix. I've already reported one although I'm not sure how easily it'll be replicable. But a few parts I've had issues where the game got stuck completely and I had to quit. Connie and Garnet's team up move just glitched today and I had to quit, which was really a shame.

I do recommend it to fans however, just be warned that sometimes it doesn't do what it's supposed to. I strongly suggest you report bugs if you find them.

I've not finished it yet but wow is this adorable, and actually for it's ZX like graphics it's got solid gameplay and it ramps up the hardness by the end. And it's got a magical space princess who can marry ALL THE THINGS how can you not?

It's a bit like if GLaDOS dropped some /serious/ acid, and designed test chambers while reading a self help book.

If the word "Chrysalid" takes you into flashbacks of frantic plasma fire and shot up isometric cities, you're in the right place. And sure as hell in good company.

If you played the early games, or like turn based tactical strategy, this is for you. It's a bit different from the classics, you don't get quite the level of micromanaging of equipment, but on the other hand you don't have to make sure everything's set up exactly right everytime. It'll take some getting used to, but it's a blast.

And yeah, the Chrysalids are just as panic inducing. Only difference is, now you see them up close.

Sweet dreams.
