While it isn't perfect, the combat simulation is amazingly fun. This is a game I have been waiting for for a very long time, perhaps since I first saw the re-imagined miniseries on TV, and then of course the actual show. (I loved the original, but the re-imagined was definitely a whole different beast.) I've tried out mods on various games (Homeworld 2, for example), but none of them entirely satisfied me. I'm so happy to finally have a real BSG game that embodies the combat style of the series. I love the whole "naval combat in space" style, and this really captures that essence :) I tried playing that online browser BSG game as well, but that also didn't do it for me. I stayed up way too late tonight and have far too much work to do in the morning, but I'm pretty happy right now. I think this will entertain me for quite some time. The story is not great so far, the voice acting is also not the best, but the combat is what I am here for, and that certainly delivers.
