I'd probably recommend at $5

per the game description "Total playtime is approximately 10 minutes (start to finish, no restarts)"

I expected ~10 mins of action per run instead took around 2 mins from start to finish. if its meant to mean 10 mins of trial and error that should be more clear, much less gameplay/difficulty than i was expecting for a $20 price tag.

the core gameplay is satisfying and fun but sadly the fun locked to be drip fed once per day which feels extra sucky as the levels are advertised as "Procedurally generated" which makes the design choice to arbitrarily lock that feature to once per day feel strange and anti fun.

I was aware of the one per day level which sounded okay on paper but after playing felt very unsatisfied with a feeling of "that's it?" which sucks because the gameplay is solid.

edit: bugged quest has been fixed and game mechanic.

have since beat campaign levels, got around 400 tower level, etc. dont see much more reason to play. Overall the game has massive pacing and progression issues along with some questionable design choices. Wanted to like because I am a huge fan of the concept but the execution was very poor leaving a bad taste

Overall the game has improved however UI/UX took 10 steps backwards. Things that were single button presses now require digging through menus. Overall less intuitive and slower to work with becomes more frustrating over time.

edit: the special tracks are insanely limited despite the marketing

this game is barely dwarf related at all

the most expensive system in the game is respec

game is fun but very flawed feels like a mash of systems

after further playtime game is not finished, its has placeholder stuff and missing stuff, not sure how this is a 1.0, even in the discord its still considered early access. devs care more about discord subs than fixing stuff/finishing content. Also missing QOL stuff that is basically necessary. Many of which have been suggested over a year ago to the devs way before a 1.0 release.

Pros:
-Fun to kill mobs

Cons:
- Monetization (dev himself has said hes bad at monetizing his game) yet you can do a monthly sub, there are 73 paid for cosmetics. at least be honest.)
- Anti fun mechanics for the sake of "hardcore" gamers (maybe you like this)
- The direction the dev wants to take this game is not for me. He compares it to POE wants the game to be a hardcore experience. but when a game is unpolished it just makes hardcore systems suck. (no its not a skill issue). which i get the hardcore direction the dev wanted to go but there are other ways besides artificially inflating currency. esp when the game forces u to respec cus of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rng.) Reminds me of the water mechanic in forever winter.
- No way to test builds easily besides using a spreadsheet/website (dev doesn't plan on lowering respec cost)
- Basically nothing is explained and there is no wiki. you are just expected to know stuff
-The higher the difficulty the less FPS im getting
- Cards RNG sucks. if u get bad rolls you need to respec which costs the same as resetting ur whole character.
- Terrible UI/QOL
- Cant favorite items
- Can't see guild mates level/ Online status
- Overwhelming Visual clutter

This game shouldn't have left early access, its not finished also the vision the dev seems to have for this game is not for me, maybe it will be for you but the way the game has been handled rubs me the wrong way

edit: forgot to mention the way inputs are handled are jank af, lots of things cancel ur own attacks in like a weird way

Cool concept, poor execution. I Played the early demo of this game and have been waiting a while for this game so it sucks to say but the game falls flat as a dungeon tycoon. Overall the game mechanics sounds good on paper, balancing souls/gold and creating a layout towards this goal. But it ends up creating a situation where you are punished/not rewarded for building normal or cool looking dungeon.

Edit: also forgot to mention frequent crashing

cool concept, terrible execution (main features are underwhelming/poorly implemented)

- upgrades are very surface level/boring
- game doesnt reward skillful gameplay/spam heavy gameplay
- cutscene abilities cool on first use, become tedious/break up action too much
-bad slow-mo damage (literally feels like frame drops/happens basically all the time)
- Too easy (whats the point of building stuff/upgrading if you can beat everything regardless)
- character switching feels clunky (yet is a main feature)
- party AI is basically non existent
- inverted camera controls with no settings
