Ill admit: im not a super die-hard Mortal Kombat fan (literally the only 3 I played before were DA, Deception, and Armageddon), so I don't have too much nostalgia for previous characters. (I mean, i know they existed, but still.)
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and, while there are some pretty noticeable problems, I believe they are outweighed by MANY positives.

(additionally, Ill reason out some things that some people probably wouldnt agree with, but I can see why NRS did them)

PROS:
-Decent story (I don't really care about plot as long as nothing is too stupid, which it wasnt)
-Most characters are distinct both in character and gameplay
-Really cool costumes and designs
-The most beautiful fighting game stages I have ever seen (Sun Do at night is my favorite)
-Amazing coriography in the cutscenes and the fatalities
-Good gameplay (probably the first time i actually used practice mode to experiment and develop a combo instead of just looking at the supers)
-Kameos feel like an actual mechanic instead of just a gimmick

CONS:
-Some characters are clearly better than others (look I love smoke, and while this might simply just be a skill issue on my part, it kind of sucks loosing to the 50th smoke in a row)
-Nostalgia or not, we can all agree that Nitara is the worst character in the game on every front (not important to the plot, horrible voice actor, not fun to play, etc.)
-While I like most of Invasions mode, I kind of wish it wasnt just "grind money and then go to the training mesa to buy EXP until you're way overleveled against pretty much every enemy"
-Kind of wish I didnt have to grind main level to unlock the stages or gamble for them with the shrine.

"IT SUCKS, BUT I KNOW WHY THEY DID THIS":
-Some skins are locked behind paywalls, but I don't really care and the skins you can get through standard gameplay are just fine as is (and some people dont even care about skins, so its whatever)
-I wish Ermac and Quan Chi were playable right from the get-go, but I can see why they're delaying them. while they are in the story mode, they're probably not fully complete, and Id rather have complete characters, rather than characters that are just bad.

In summary, MK1 is an enjoyable game, and despite its flaws, I genuinely find myself having fun playing the game. And at the end of the day, thats all that matters.

Probably the best street fighter by far. Entierely focused on bringing new life into the series by giving characters interesting redesigns, giving new players the option to adjust to new characters using the modern controls, and so much more!

I like the yakuza series, and I LOVE streets of rage... but seriously? I mean, I get the game is free, but there could have at least been more than one stage and have some uniqueness to the character combat instead of just making everyone Axel. Not sure if it'll ever get updated, due to it being a limited-time free game, but if they do, add more stages instead of just looping the first one. I don't think this game was the main focus of SEGA's 60th Anniversary, but still, this game was (at least to me) a huge disappointment.

Its some good fun. essentially its GTA for those who dont acctually play GTA

looking at someone on youtube or twitch play it and having never played it looks confusing at first and looks like its one of those games which are as complicated as d&d.
when you acctually play it, everything starts to make sense and you can do more cool stuff (killing your first dread, etc).
I do reccomend picking up a map or something and mabey reading a few things on a few wikis. there are a few things, like weapon types and skill upgrades which you might want to have a look at throughout your space-si-fi-badassatry but other than that, I do recommend this game!

Best building game i have ever played (whith the exeption of minecraft)! I like the amont of effort that went into this game and i think it is the cure for cancer! who ever hasnt played this game, should!
