I have been a Myst fan for a very long time, and I was thrilled to see it come to VR. I currently have two ages complete, and I love it so far. But having live actors in the shots in the original spoiled me; I think the 3D characters just can't beat that.

The redesign of some of the parts of the ages is amazing. When stepping into the Channelwood book room (in VR), I was astonished.

If a first-time player starts Myst, they might find that it is a bit shorter than other games out their today. But I would just encourage them to explore and take in the view.

Overall,
Graphics: Amazing
Story: Short and sweet
Nostalgia: Maximal

I can only hope for a VR Riven some day.

For those that say the game is lacking: it is a remaster of a 25 year old game; chill. Not a lot can be added to it. It isn't Skyrim.

Makes you want to want to quit your day job and start a farm in a small town... Then you realize you can't because that isn't really practical in today's world.

Still love it tho.

Alone it is a fun puzzle platformer, with a friend or a group it is a hilarious puzzle platformer. The levels, while limited in number at the current time (about 7 levels), merely exist as a path between the start and the end, and it is up to you and and your friends to find the end. Use whatever means you need to get there. Physics is your friend in this game!
