I've learned more about physics from this game than college.

Early Access Review
Addicting, beautiful, and unforgiving, this is the best modern 2D game I have ever played.

I first played this game when it originally came out over 10 years ago and is still one of my favorite games of all time. There was a bit of a learning curve as I was used to the typical RPGs such as Zelda and Final Fantasy, where the hero comes in and takes what he wants from clueless civilians.

Shortly after arriving to a peaceful monastary near the introduction of the game, I noticed there were so many items assessable to me and ripe for the taking, hopefully to be traded and sold for some tasty potions. While ransaking this humble religious community, the bishop told me to stop. I scoffed at him as I continued taking the neatly arranged plates and forks off the wooden table that I can only assume were for orphans.

When a peace-loving monk goes fisty cuffs and starts kicking YOUR a** over some plates and forks, you know you're playing by a whole new set of rules. I was forced to reload and play nice for a change.

Not as good as chapter one (which would be very hard to do), but worth playing through. Felt a little claustrophobic walking through the caves over and over, but think it will get better from here.

I was too young to play the original King's Quest as I could never understand what I was supposed to do. Now much older I still enjoyed the type of problem solving by trial and error that is typical with other types of familiar games like it. The graphics and artistry was 10/10 along with music and good clean humor. It will leave you smiling at times and face palm others when the solution was far easier than you thought.

Not as infamous and well crafted as Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, but this is worth the price and I am having fun with it. Not sure why all the hate, but expectations were pretty high for it and think it came up short with most people which is kind of understandable, but far too harsh on it.
