What a brilliant idea. If they kept this up I can see it being a fully fledged game on its own.

Especially if they expanded it a bit deeper and went for different roles etc.

Really good so far, excited to see where this game goes as it approaches full release.

Solid combat, lots of different weapons and items. The town expansion and resource gathering part is pretty fun.

So far the main weakness is where you'd expect it, the main campaign is fun but the end game has a pretty low amount to do. You can do "corrupted" zones which you can max out pretty easily and beat even with a fresh endgame character on a hard realm without too much trouble. The crucible is also a very cool mode just without enough challenging tiers to really feel like there's any reason to progress.

My one complaint? Coop Melee is trash. You cannot help constantly cleaving one another, the radius on most weapons attacks makes it impossible to not hit each other.

Overall very good game I'm excited to come back and play a new run after it gets updated further.

Servers are crapping themselves on day 1, however the game is incredibly fun and during the beta they got the servers working stable after a bit of time and once that happened it ran great.

So I suspect they'll get this sorted relatively quickly. I know everyone expects this problem should just be "solved" by turning the server capacity knob up but it's never that simple. There's a reason every company struggles to do this so give them a bit of time.

Fingers crossed the game releases enough stuff to keep themselves alive and relevant long term but even if just for a season the game is well worth it.

It's like 8 bad RPGs instead of one good one. The stories are very bland and the combat isn't feeling very in depth either (use weakness, break armor, boost turn to use 4 turns at once and hit as hard as possible rinse and repeat). But the reason for that is probably because you can just kinda go anywhere and do anything so figuring out how to keep the game balanced / engaging is super hard to do. It's taken hours just to collect your party and once you have them you are always outleveling areas and kinda aimlessly picking which route to complete next so you're just kind of trudging along a lot of different boring stories.

The characters are each totally unique to one another and disconnected - so you just kinda do one story after another with random people showing up to tag along without ever getting that feeling you want in a good story where there's character interaction or growth as a group. I really want to like this, it's modernizing RPG's just not in a way I think is great. Given all the positive reviews I'm shocked because I really thought I'd love this.

I don't know it's just not fun, the game's well put together and I can understand all the decision making that went into it but the fights are boring the pacing is slow and the cards are just feeling meh.

It just doesn't have the elements click together for an enjoyable experience and after a few hours I'm finding I have to force myself to play it rather than be interested and excited to try again. Honestly if any devs ever read this the main thing I'd try is a speed up mode or something to let you move through an encounter a lot faster it's just sluggish.

Already struggling to find matches and standing around for 10mins to find a game. If you get into a game and someone dips or your run is clearly too far behind you can't even leave it punishes you even if you're only queued with friends and want to restart.

General concept can be fun but it really needs some QOL love.

The art is great, the combat system is... okay (the breaking mechanic I found more annoying than engaging) and the world is excellent.

The story is awful and so boring, the characters (main and side) are just bland and lack any real depth or human feeling. I really want more good RPG's to be made so I'm clicking thumbs up but I'll be honest if they came out with another game I'd really hesitate for other people to try it first before I picked it up. This is definitely not going to become a classic I go back cherish and want to play again. Once was painful enough.

This game is fantastic, I've missed the days when turn based RPG's got made that aren't just turned into action games. When Final Fantasy lets us down and great console RPG's go away we're lucky to have Expedition 33 save the day.

The story is great, the world is interesting, the combat is fantastic. I like hard games so I've been playing it on expert and acing a tough boss is so much fun.

Really good arena brawler, I don't personally love the battle royale mode as much but it's solid for people who are into that.
