Definitely the new definitive way to play the very first Final Fantasy game that launched the magical franchise.

At launch this game was littered with distracting graphical bugs and horrible stuttering. However, many patches later and I can now recommend this game wholeheartedly. It's a beautiful world and the gameplay is top notch. The story, which sometimes suffers from pacing issues, is interesting and engrossing.

I enjoyed all the previous Far Cry games up to this point, but this game is so buggy it's a frustrating experience. In 8 hours I've encountered a number of quest breaking bugs and super frustrating AI experiences. For example, in one mission I was required to chase down and recover a truck. For some instance, my NPC helper who was in a plane always thought it was a great idea to destroy the truck, resulting in a failed mission. I've also encountered NPCs stuck in loops so that you cannot interact with them to complete or initiate quests.

The setting is quite bland, and the often the game will take control away to initiate story missions, which can be quite frustrating if you were in the middle of doing something else.
