Easy to learn, difficult to master. The RNG can be a little frustrating at times, but that's the genre. This game is unique, fun, addictive and the art style is nostalgic of children's books from the 70's and 80's. I look forward to seeing how this game grows because it's a banger. Just buy it!

I have played this game long enough now that I feel confident in giving it my full opinion/review. It's a great game. A poorly marketed game, but a great game nonetheless. This is not an action heavy RPG. This is a sandbox/questing game with action elements. The trailer, for sure, gives the impression that this is an epic, story driven game where you're going to take on the world on the back of a dragon......you will not. Instead, you will be spending a great deal of time learning how to really play this game and building your character's abilities and knowledge and refining that into a playstyle that suits you. You will chop wood. You will hunt wild boars. You will gain fun movement techs. You will have some challenging fights.....but, all of this takes time. I do believe this is a game that almost everyone can enjoy, but it's more something that you pick up to just kinda see where you're going to wind up rather than power through a story and expect to become god powered by the end. It's meant to be taken slow and the growth reflects that. Think single player MMO/life sim meets Dynasty Warriors-like combat. GOTY?.....I don't think so. But, I'm having a great time and I do think almost anyone else would once they learn the mechanics and have the right expectations. They should have never packaged this as an action RPG. Lastly, I do think there's a pretty decent amount of optimization still needed to make this game accessible for everyone. Unless you have a pretty high end pc, you will not like how this game looks/runs. Even PS5 pro runs at just barely base requirements. I understand the size of the game and vastness of the world is resource heavy, but I've played games quite similar that look just as good if not better with a lower spec requirements to do so. Ex. Dragon's Dogma 2. We can talk GOTY when they achieve this because, right now....it comes off as a little elitist. If you can run it, pick it up. But, if you're questioning if you can.....wait until further updates and a sale.

Usually love games like this....I couldn't have been more bored. The pacing of the story screens are so slow and the characters come off pretty insufferable. The items are very easy to find and it's really just a "click a-round" with no challenge or penalty. Maybe if I were 7 years old, this would be fun. If you're buying it for your little kids, I'm sure they'd like it.

Ignore ALL negative reviews!!! This game is going to be considered one of the best beat 'em ups of all time! Period. Buy this game! You will not be disappointed.

This game is a great time. It's fun, stupid and doesn't take itself too seriously. The combination of genres is hilarious. Don't listen to the complainers. Allow yourself to just have a good time with friends! Is it perfect? No. Does it need to be? Also, no.

I was concerned when the game recommends you use a controller and then doesn't allow you to navigate the options menu properly or even start the game with a controller.....Odd, but manageable. But, I returned the game once it started when I noticed there are inverted controls that you cannot change at all! Inverted controls (meaning "down" brings you upstage and "up" brings you to the foreground) in a beat 'em up is a laughably stupid choice. At least allow the player to change it. Geez. Returned.

Great game! The puzzles are fun and approachable. Nothing too crazy or big brain, but still satisfying. The alternate endings were fun to figure out, but I still think it was a little short. At $13 and a little over 6 hrs to 100% the game (I took a couple smoke breaks), it comes out to a little over $2 an hr to be entertained for a night. I've definitely wasted more than $2 on far less. So, for me it's still a thumbs up. I just didn't want it to end. For sure giving overworld Inscryption vibes. Loved it.

Anyone that has written a negative review for this game simply doesn't know what they're talking about. It fun in solo, a blast with friends and a great addition to the Outlast Series. Buy this one.

The tables are a great time! Lot's of different modes and options to play. Can't wait to play on an actual table!
