Best game ever purchased this year for me given how I have stopped buying games recently due to my ever expanding backlog of games to go through xD .. Met some really nice peeps through this game and the game itself is a blast to enjoy whether its with friends or solo

This game while on the outside might look like another friend slop game has a surprising depth when it comes gameplay and what the game can offer in terms of content. Highly recommend this game even if you do not have friends since the solo gameplay is even more rewarding once you reach to the top :)

Writing this at 100 hour mark

Great PVE game with engaging melee and shooting combat with enemies pushing you to be on edge with more than just being a cover shooter or left click spamming melee swing. Highly recommended for anyone already into PVE games.

The game has bit of a learning curve at beginning but with time you will start enjoying the mechanics of this game. Plus difficulty scaling is decent with higher difficulties being generally challenging even for seasoned veterans.

With recent patches, Fatshark has made the redemption on this game gaining favour from old and new gamers alike after a disastrous launch 2 years back. Hopefully they continue with this trajectory and make Darktide a great game similar to how Vermintide 2 is in current state (except VS mode)

The game still needs optimization though as it runs terrible on low end hardware. FS please make this happen and this will be my absolute recommended game then even for those with low end specs.

Edit : Clocked 660 Hours - Since last review, Fatshark has updated this game with two new game mode, Havoc and Mortis Trials out of which I have been enjoying playing Havoc 2.0 (which was updated alongside with Ogryn rework which I enjoy playing a lot now) and the game is slated to receive more updates in future alongside with a new character DLC. The game seems to be heading in a good direction given the updates.

Ah sh*t .. Here we go again buying another DLC :)

Easy buy in my books for the price and content in this game. Would cost a decent chunk in my currency for similar content in other similar games.

Key reasons for me to consider this purchase :

1. This is something that many modern games lack which is the ability to host lobbies and play with your friends with little effort (and also has LAN support). This ensures longevity of the game beyond its development lifecycle
2. Well optimized to run on any supported system from 3-4 years back atleast
3. Maintains the same formula from AMS 1 with variety of vehicles and tracks but with additional features like weather, time and more.
4. Mod support is present albeit less than juggernauts like AC but the devs are committed to bring decent mod support in this game (Mentioned in December Dev Blog)
5. The game looks breathtaking for taking snaps if you are a fan of taking cinematic screenshots

All in all a great sim racing game with the season pass being a bonus which adds more cars (including hypercars that were added recently) and famous tracks from likes of NASCAR, Indy Racing etc.

My first entry into sim racing .. Game is polished for what is an older brother of AMS 2. Nice car feel and the tracks are fantastic to experience as a novice sim racer. Works great with a 3rd party xbox style controller and overall a joy to drive a huge assortment of vehicles ranging from F1, brit cars to even sports truck and drift cars.

There is AC with great modding support but the hassle to set it up before even enjoying the game is bit too much to ask from a novice sim racer. AMS 1 provides a good experience without modding and while I haven't tried modding this game, it has some cool mods albeit less than AC showcased on youtube which i can't wait to check it out.

Best part about this game which is often ignored in sim racing community is that this game can even run in a low end pc without a sweat which is something you wouldn't find with modern sim racing games.

Highly recommend this as the starting game to get into sim racing :)

Edit : Tried all the car and track mods in this game .. it feels amazing. I even got a track based on my region from all of those mods. Most of them are converted RF1 mods but still feels amazing to go through all of the content starting from retro stuff to modern F1 and GT cars.

PSA : For those who are unable to start the game .. set compatibility for "Crysis2Remastered.exe" to windows 8/7

Great classic shooter .. a must have for those who enjoys FPS campaign which is a dying breed in this age !!

This game is a must for anyone looking to play with friends or a friendly community which is less toxic than most of the popular multiplayer games out there. The game mechanics like how unique loadouts for different classes and objectives work in this game is ingenious which keeps everyone engaged and dependent on each other like a team. For a PvE game, it is very challenging and also rewarding once you complete a level successfully and the subtle cues like voice overs from different characters reminds us that we are all here to have fun :)

A true successor to some of the popular coop games like L4D2 !!
