The best fishing game to ever be made.

its a shame not more people bought the game or dlcs to keep content coming. but even so you could put 5k hours into this game before you 100% it

Same as the original with more content, not a lot more content but some new stuff.
Honestly i would have been happy with just a remastered with no content, so this is a big upgrade from what i originally expected when the remaster was announced.

all the Quality of life upgrades that most newer RTS games have.

**The new troops are not available in the warchest or original skirmish trials.**

Its a little rough around the edges, and the max resolution is 1080p. but game-play is fun, there are bugs, and stutters. if you alt tap the ground may go black when you return to the game or the game may crash, it really doesnt like alt tab. the ui is.. unique. It feels like its from the early 2000s yet is modern. there is a very limited settings menu and un-checking the full screen box doesn't really do anything except allow you to alt tab, but if you don't have a 1080p monitor then its a game of hide and seek to find the options to reset to full screen.
overall the game is alot of fun, there trails and custom skirmishes, the warlord is a nice addition, even if it can be annoying in game. there is a learning curve in this game that i didn't see in previous stronghold games. there aren't alot of ai to play with or against, and the maps are small, common stronghold problem. the unit limit is also low. it seems like there is a pop limit for the map and it varies depending on the map size and number of players, but can definitely be annoying.
bought it on sale, in the current state and not expecting updates or dlc content its a solid 10-15$ game thats if you only play trails, multiplayer and custom skirmishes. if you like the stronghold campaigns and play through them then there's a lot more content to play and its probably worth more to you. i don't ever play the campaigns in the stronghold series they never keep my attention, so i look for the skirmish trails and the custom skirmish as the only real content ill spend time in.

Everything that was good about the 1st game, but polished, with some new features.
the story is really good with a few cutscenes or dialog that don't really flow with the rest of the main story.
combat is really good, stealth is really good, game feels relatively balanced.

only complaints i have are the few bugs that were introduced with the 1.2 patch. barber patch broke my first play through. lucky for me, i was at the end, so i didn't miss much. the second play through had a weird bug after finishing the game where all the main characters once you talk to them march back to were the opening mission takes place and act like the siege is still going on.

Its not necessary to play the first game to get the story. the first 2-3 hours of gameplay there is a lot of dialog and some cutscenes giving an overview of the story up to the point of when the second game starts. after the first 2-3 hours there aren't nearly as many cutscenes mostly just dialog during main quests.

overall highly recommend. this is the best game i've played in years. game devs don't make games like this anymore.

Really good game. Basically far cry primal but on pandora with blue people. not a huge fan of the avatar movies, but this is a really good game.
the weirdest thing in this game is the buildings that are build for humans are navi sized so the proportions are off based on how big they made humans and blue people.

Early Access Review
Runs a little rough, but good overall experience if you are on non dedicated or single player. Nitrado servers are garbage and crash constantly, both official and unofficial. terrible online experience

this game is a disappointment. evolved was rough when it was early access, but this is so much worse. the dinos fall through the mesh especially when knocked out. drops are below the ground so you cant get them. dinos spawn in the walls, again mesh issues. most caves are relatively empty because of this issue, on every map. it takes an hour of messing with settings and entering commands in console to make the game playable at a descent frame rate.

Still think this was a cash grab very poor quality port to UE5 by snail games, in an attempt to not go bankrupt. if wildcard was still independent ark would probably last a long time. but with snail running them into the ground, ark 2 will probably never come out. the only big success snail "owns" is ark. don't keep all your eggs in one basket, but when you make mediocre games i guess you have to buy other companies for their good IP's.

Its both better and some how no different than the steam hd edition that was released a few years back. The graphics are better, more modern controls, supports 1440p without the weird border. However the game still has no kingmaker or skirmish mode, the game suffers a lot of the same issues I had with stronghold 3 and crusader 2. the games feels better overall, but also everything seems out of sync. Sounds don't match movement of troops, the new campaigns are alright nothing special. And map size is still limited to 400x400 same as the original.
