To anyone who is debating on Session vs. Skater XL. I started off with Session and enjoyed it, but I wondered if there was more and decided to check out Skater XL.

Skater XL's has a deep modding and mapping community that build onto what is lined up to be a great base experience. The game almost asks for your creativity. If you have any knowledge in software like Blender, Unity, or Photoshop you can almost immediately contribute to your own experience and maybe the experiences of others. It doesn't take long to realize this as soon as I realized I could try my hand at modeling and texturing my local bottom tier skatepark, I spent the day learning how and trying to do it. I really haven't had an experience with a game like this in years and reminds me of experiences I had with favorites like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The only takeaway I have from skaterXL is I feel some people will just be put off by having to sit through a 15 minute youtube video to get to a galaxy brain experience with this game. Anyone who buys SkaterXL immediately needs to familiarize themselves with some basic mods. If you don't/can't sacrifice the 30 minutes to learn how to do that, I don't recommend buying the game.

This game is honestly a "meh" for me.

It's a beautiful game with a pretty good plot, but there's just a lot that you don't find out in the end which frustrated me.

If you have a couple hours to kill and are looking for a single player game, try it out.
