i like office women with issues

Excellent game, hits the same mark for me as Balatro and Slay the Spire. Only minor complaint is that it’s not hard enough until like the 7th difficulty level. You can pass the first 6 ascension levels without really trying, especially since you can retry every fight as many times as you want.

The last difficulty levels are truly challenging and fun, and I just barely managed to scrape by the final boss on the highest difficulty with 1HP after trying over and over. I thought I would hate having savescumming be part of the game, but it made it satisfying to figure out the best layout and moves for my ship, and finally figure out how to win. It’s more like a puzzle game in that way, instead of a roguelike, kind of like Into The Breach.

this game is the distillation of that feeling when you’re playing a platformer, see some stupid jump that the devs clearly didn’t intend for you to go to and think “Yeah I can totally make that.” costing you several hours and hundreds of lives.

Except in this game you can actually make that jump and feel an incredible mix of “I am god’s greatest gamer.” and “oh ♥♥♥♥ I think I’m doing what I’m supposed to? Am I being played?”

10/10 really makes you feel like a TAS.
