The gameplay itself is great, when and if you get to it.

However the multitude of bizarre technical issues I faced during the free trial prevented me from enjoying the game, and convinced me I'm better off not buying. If there is another free trial period and the game works better then I'll be sure to re-assess.

For once, the Steam tags were right.

Ah yes, one of the most perverted games on Steam, right behind the sakura series. A lot more depth in this one though.

It's pretty good all over. The Bejeweled-style puzzles combined with gameplay typical of Dating Sim -games works really well. The graphics are good and the *cough* pictures *coughcough* are definitely not bad. The characters are varied and most importantly not cringy. The voice acting is good.

So yeah, everything about this game has seemed pretty good to me. As long as you have nothing against the match-3 puzzles or dating sims, this game is gon b gud.

A rare mix between strategy and action, this one's an oldie but a goodie.

The gameplay is quite interesting simply because of the concept of commanding multiple units and assuming command of one. It can get somewhat repetitive since the AI for the units is somewhat simple, leaving you with the feeling that only units controlled by you can get anything done. Well, that, or I just suck at commanding.

The engine is also quite dated, the graphics are somewhat simple (not bad for its time, though), and I have yet to find a way to get the game into a widescreen resolution without parts of the HUD going outside the screen.

The only other bad thing I can mention is that the game does lack replayability. There is only a singleplayer campaign and no skirmish or multiplayer modes. After you're done with the campaign, there's not much reason to play the game again since the campaign is also rather annoying at several points.

Regardless, it's a unique experience and In my opinion it's good, particularly if you like strategy-action games and can get over the... oldness of the game.

Yet another extremely attractive indie game where your playtime consists of meaningless runs where you ended up accomplishing literally nothing.

Similar in concept to games like The Binding of Isaac, Spelunky has you going through various randomised levels until you manage to not screw up enough to make it past all the unforgivable enemies and environments.

By unforgivable, I mean that everything moves fast, knockbacks with the power of The Thing, and your mercy invulnerability lasts for a small fraction of a second. Additionally, dynamite explodes instantly when grazed by blood splatter, all objects hurt and knock you back if they have even teeniest bit of velocity, and the League of Shopkeepers will hunt you down if a spider dies by an arrow trap at their doorstep.

Despite all the annoying bits of fake difficulty, Spelunky has that charming something that keeps you playing, and when you finally get out of the first set of levels, you can already feel the satisfaction and the need to push forward. That is something that few games manage to accomplish.

Quite worth the price tag, 4.5/5
