Megabonk has the gameplay design of Vampire Survivors with the level design of Risk of Rain 2. Very fun game all about creating overpowered builds as you defeat hordes of enemies and bosses within a time limit. The game has many weapons/characters to unlock and challenges/difficulty modifiers to complete. If you like that subgenre of roguelites, this game is a steal.

Hades was the pinnacle of the roguelite genre, and Hades II not only matches that quality but surpasses it by providing more content. Hades II is different enough from the first game to feel fresh, but builds off what made the first game so special. It's exactly what I wanted in a sequel and more.

For those unfamiliar with this series, Hades is absolutely the best all-around experience you can play in a roguelite. It sets the standard for narrative in the genre, lets you pick your weapons as you unlock them rather than rely on RNG, but still has enough randomness and mix-ups to make each run feel different.

If you played Hades 1, then just know this game meets and exceeds whatever expectations it had. If you've played neither, then play them both as they have their own story, bosses, and mechanics worth experiencing.

Silksong is the sequel to the best 2D game ever made, and it definitely lives up to the long-awaited hype.

The exploration in this game is incredible. The world is huge with so many items, levels, and boss fights for you to discover. Silksong does an amazing job at engaging/rewarding the curious player with progression and hidden content worth their while.

The controls and atmosphere are top-notch like the previous game, but Silksong makes enough changes to separate itself and feel unique. The charm/tool system is revamped, the abilities you unlock are almost all new, healing/resource management is different, and the game has multiple movesets that just about change all your animations.

Time will tell if it can surpass its predecessor as Hollow Knight's best and most challenging content was in its post launch updates, but right now Silksong is an amazing game that excels in all aspects.

Top-tier action platformer that plays as good as it looks, fast paced with a great flow to it. The hypercharge mechanic implements some strategy and makes you pay attention to the order you take out the enemies. The game provides a good challenge and has good post game content with bonus levels and a hard mode.

This game is the perfect blend between FIFA Pro Clubs and Rocket League.

Most importantly, the game feels very good once you get used to the controls. The controls are manual, increasing the skill gap, and there are no player attributes which puts everyone on an even playing field. Your success comes down to player skill, creativity, and teamwork as holding onto the ball feels very vulnerable to encourage passing. The game still needs more patches to iron out some glitches, but the core elements of the game are extremely fun.

CO: Expedition 33 is one of the most beautiful video games I've ever played. The narrative, music, and visuals all combine to create something truly special. And most importantly, the game is very fun to play and packed with content.

The turn-based combat is skill based as there are no accuracy and evasion stats and you can theoretically avoid all damage. There are many different skills, weapons, and equipment that can be combined for all sorts of different builds. Exploration also feels great as discovering new pictos (equipment) and weapons never gets old because so many of them have great abilities.

I expect this story to stay with me for a long time because of the characters but also wrestling with the games themes. The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard and elevates the game even higher. This game is a must play for RPG fans.

The best thing I can say about this game is that its positives are so good that they outweigh the glaring negative of having one of the worst camera angles which doesn't fit the game at all.

The setting and its fantasy elements, the graphics and animations, the music, and certain story moments for those who have played the Greek games are all top notch. The game also has tons of content including post-game bosses and challenges. I've beaten this game three times, so clearly I'm a fan.

But, the camera angle is horrendous. This game has a 3rd-person shooter over the shoulder camera in a fast-paced melee action game. The FOV is so bad that Kratos has a compass on his waist that points at off-screen enemies and a quick turn button to compensate. Along with that, the game has enemies that can fly, teleport, and shoot projectiles making it impossible to see everything at once. Most of the time the combat is enjoyable, but when you come across the right combination of enemy types it can be insanely frustrating. Also the game would be better without the leveling system making random enemies feel way stronger than a god like Kratos. After a combined 150 hours on Steam and PlayStation, the camera issue is something I expected to get over but never did.

But the reason I have that much time in the first place is because this game has so many redeeming qualities that make it worth recommending as it is very fun at its best. There are just some things holding it back from being a 9 or 10 out of 10 game.

The game is addicting and the song is stuck in my head. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Never been a big fighting game guy playing some here and there, but I've wanted to commit to learning fighting games for a while now. This seems like the best time to get into the genre, and this game is a big reason why. I have so much fun when I play this game even though I'm not good at it, and that makes the learning process so much easier. I plan on sticking with this game for all the updates to come. Anyone looking to get into fighting games, I really recommend this as a starting point.
