Meh. There just isn't any _challenge_. If you're short on something, you can do clever optimisations, or you can just wait.

I've played through the entire campaign hoping the game would blossom as the new mechanics were added, but it never did.

Fulfils its promise of a quick 4X. Single player fun, interesting, and decently replayable. UI not amazing but serviceable.

That was quite good! Very satisfying explore/harvest/craft loop, with potential for much more.

Couple little things that would've been nice:
- Change the colour of the interact-able icon (the white circle) when a storage container is empty; I know the boxes turn red but I'd like to see at a glance what I've already fully looted.
- Make the laser turrets drop some kind of reward. Completely unnecessary but look, I'm conditioned to expect loot when killing an enemy :-)
- Make the oxygen recharge items provide more oxygen than that. Currently they're not worth the annoyance of crafting them and lugging them around. (Speaking of which, a "craft item and all sub-items" in one click would've been nice, although maybe I just missed it.)
- Let me repair the mining bases, so sad to leave them broken and leaking gas :-( (and possibly let me build my own bases, if that makes sense depending on how big a game you're planning).

Wishlisting. Good luck for full release!

The concept is solid, and early game is fun, but once you start having a larger roster the UI limitations start to show. I stopped playing when I realised I was spending more time shuffling equipment around than actually fighting battles.

A fun challenge. I found it quite scary, in (mostly) clever non-jumpscare ways where they establish a pattern and then break it. It's clearly made on a low budget but they sure get a lot of mileage out of very few assets.

A simple yet engaging 4X-like. Single-player with no enemy civs, just barbarians - which means no race for wonders or map goodies, it's much more chill. Although there is a difficulty progression and you can certainly set yourself a real challenge.

It's Early Access but doesn't feel like it content-wise (although it certainly has some bugs).

Tentative recommendation. This is a slow game, similar to Surviving Mars. If you mess up, you can find yourself trapped into a slow, grinding downward spiral. By the Steam achievements, lots of people give up on chapter 2, where resources are tightest.

What it has going for it: a satisfying economy, a neat story, an intriguing sci-fi setting.

Alexis Kennedy is the best video game writer I've ever seen. The prose in this game (and his previous ones) is an absolute delight. A complex mythology revealed through hints, scraps, in-jokes, and warnings.

This game is slow-paced and investigative. You may need to take notes (or a full-blown spreadsheet). I don't think it'll appeal to just anybody, but those who like it will fall in love with it.

It's an ambitious concept, and it still has a very long way to get there. I don't trust the "12 months" declared EA duration at all. What's already done is crude, buggy, and awkward to use.

This just hasn't aged very well, technically. Controls are stiff and awkward, there are loading times everywhere, and the game crashed frequently.

The cases I've played also haven't impressed me. A lot of handholding and silly mini-games, not a lot of actual deduction for the player to do.
