This is a cool short little game with some fun gimmicks. I kinda wish it had spent more time in the servers but maybe that was me rushing to the story chunks.

The fourth wall breaks were fun!

Be aware if you buy this game you won't get the same experience as the 2019 version. I got maybe ten minutes in the haunted FPS map, which was the reason I bought the game. I spent more time in the random platforming segments than in the thing the game is ostensibly named after.

The story direction was also really disappointing. I wanted a horror game, I didn't want to play through a tragedy, or a drama. I wanted a horror game.

Pretty disappointed.

I tend to give a game a lot of points if the idea of it is good and it looks good. This totally does, it's a cool film noir thing that's written like a paranormal TV show, in a good way. The 'detective' puzzles can be a little...wonky sometimes, abd a lot of them come down to trial and error. But even then it only takes a few minutes to really sort out which clue you need. The "combat" is kind of a sore spot, it's basically a stealth/reaction puzzle thing where you have to sneak up behind a demon, hold R, then press the WASD+mouse1/2 combination it shows you. Luckily the demons are pretty sparse. The focus is really on the atmosphere and the writing, which is actually super good.
