I played since release, the newer updates make it so good, and it keeps you on your toes

As a long time naruto fan i was excited for this game. It was a deviation from the standard ultimate ninja style of gameplay that Bandai has stuck to for years. It is an emphasis on pvp. However youre forever stuck in a lobby in konaha so really the home village selection means nothing at all. The VR masters system of obtaining jutsu is alright, however their should be other ways to obtain jutsu, i dont really feel like the customization really means anything if everything your character has is based directly on a character from the anime/manga. Connection sucks, especially since it uses peer to peer, there have been a few times where I have "lost connection" from a mission i beat and got nothing from it. The autolocking and the camera both suck and make it hard to fight at times especially if youre climbing along walls or end up running into a building thanks to a jutsu.

With such a heavy focus on PVP the connection and matchmaking needs to be severely iimproved. supposedly the player count is low, but that should not cause as many issues as it is.

Personally I like the game, it is fun, however there is such a lack of actual substance and variety that is definitely not worth a triple-A price. At most it should be like $20 for the base game.
