I like this game, for a few reasons.

“Hey Raider!”

- Perhaps the best audio in a game I've ever heard. Yes, I've played Hunt and BF6, and they are excellent with sound as well. The sound design here is truly immersive and accurate. The soundtrack is also amazing. Top-tier.
- Art direction and graphics are excellent. General atmosphere on the maps is very, very cool.
- Performance is great. The minimum spec is crazy for a UE5 game.
- Gameplay and animation are believable and very well done.
- Most importantly, the game is just fun to play, and the loop is addicting.

They really cooked here!

Solo-queue feels like a co-op PVE game. This is cool as heck, in my opinion. Be ready to use your mic and communicate, and 95% of solo players will reciprocate and group up. Or at the least, go about their merry way.

Sure, you will get the occasional player that just wants to rip your head off and steal your precious loots, but that’s just part of it. Be prepared for anything. That doesn’t mean violence should be your first option, but it’s there when you choose.

If you really want to sweat, grab a partner or two. Team play is largely shoot-on-sight. It doesn’t have to be, but there are too many variables in a team situation, so most don’t risk it. This is understandable and fair. And besides, PVP is also very fun.

I wasn't totally sure this game would work for me, even after playing in some of the closed tests. But, I have to say the way FROM has blended genres here is extremely cool and addicting. From the circle of death closing in on you, the time pressure at every moment, the RNG, the possibility that it could be your best run yet. It all just melds together into this really enjoyable loop.

Having now done everything there is to (currently) do in the game, I wish enemy and non-Nightlord boss variety was a tad greater. That's really my only complaint from a design perspective. Performance on PC, yeah it's still bad. Cannot be overstated. They need to step their game up here. They have Bandai Namco as a partner for goodness sake. Come on guys, please do better.

But the character design, world building, bosses, fan service, and of course FROM combat is all here and shines brightly. Super fun with buddies in your team, less so in matchmaking. Of course that varies. In summary, the game is really great, and I defiantly recommend it.

Game is amazing, performance is really poor on PC. I'm brute-forcing it, so it's very playable but nowhere near where it should be.

Gets an overall pass from me, simply because the core gameplay is so good and yes, I'm a MH fiend.

Amazingly crafted and entirely unique in the pantheon of FROM.

Hard as nails. Deeply rewarding. Align yourself with what the game is asking, its worth your time and effort.

In my eyes, CDPR has redeemed this game and their reputation. So many patches and improvements, and they still haven't slowed down. Its in an excellent state, and the DLC is a fantastic piece of content.

Absolutely love this game and adore Larian Studios. Expertly designed, crafted, and supported. Rare indeed.

For Freedom! For Democracy! For Super-Earth!

Launch and server issues aside, this is one of the best PVE co-op experiences you can have currently. Grab your space-buds, get in there, and do your part!

Game is an unmissable, epic, masterclass. Remove the hype and boil things down, and it's undoubtedly one of the best games in the last 10 years.

My only complaint is performance. I just wish it was optimized on PC. I really thought FROM was making strides with DS3 and Sekiro, but here we are.

Regardless of that, this is the best game I've played lived in a very long time.

I put 100 hours into Rise on Switch, and now another 100+ on PC. I really do love the game, but it has some issues. If I'm being honest with myself, I just like MH: World and Iceborne more.

All in all, Rise is a great game. Very fun, and the Monster Hunter loop is in full effect here.
