Best release in years

You're better off buying Tropico 5. This game improves some systems on Tropico 5, but they are basically the same game

Good game, $10 is too much though.

Good premise but boring. I'm gonna go through the big problems right now...

The game's systems are really dumb and don't add any value to the game, 90% of it is just mindless transactions between AI and RNG deals. In the beginning company success is out of your control and they end up failing half the time. There is also no way to make deals or trade with other companies or even just improve your own business. The game is really shallow and does not offer anything exciting; you just tick up numbers and eventually buy out the competition. Why cant the devs add more interesting financial tools rather than just stock? I asked on the discord and the devs responded with "whats a bond?" It's disappointing because this game offers no sense of progression or accomplishment as of now. Even if the politics portion gets added eventually, you are still gonna get stuck with the terrible economic system.

The UI in this game is GOD AWFUL. This game has tons of nested tabs where they shouldn't be and I always get lost in menus because of the world map. If the devs just removed the world map and replaced it with a stock book, there would be no change to the game's mechanics whatsoever. Your inbox also gets overflowed with hundreds of useless messages like "you bought 100 shares of XYZ co" or "You bought a horse from the auction for 302 dollars."

The performance is also pretty bad, and there is a memory leak. The overlays lag when clicked on, and the FPS drops make the game really unenjoyable.

Overall the game is at flash game level right now, the systems are terrible and the UI is awful. It would be more fun for you to take your $25 dollars (which is an outrageous price to buy it for) and use it to start your own business rather than buy this game

I remember when i bought this in like alpha 3. It was worth a buy then, now its even better

So, this game is amazing, and its in early alpha. I dont play it often, but when I do I play it for hours. I am trying to play it more. It is a ton of fun for me.
