The worst entry in the party golf genre. A good chunk of courses are terribly designed and barely playable as a result. The dlc is outrageously priced for what is almost certainly more trash.

I absolutely loved everything Cyan put out before this so I went in super excited for this game. This game starts off strong, I was hooked right at the beginning. The cryptic story, the cool transition/warp affect had me ready for another Myst like experience. Sadly it was not to be.

The puzzles (if you can even call them puzzles) in this game are primarily centered around the mechanic of wasting your time. The solutions are simple yet require you to back track and teleport back and forth going through loading screens until you sit there asking yourself, why am I even playing this. Even overlooking the simple yet tedious puzzles the majority of the roadblocks you run into are nothing more than a big middle finger to the player. "Oh, you didn't randomly do this specific thing? Well enjoy back tracking and teleporting all over again"

All in all the game lacked the depth and story that I was expecting from such a legendary developer. Was it beautiful in parts? Absolutely, but sadly what starts out great falls flat in the end. Really disappointed in the lack of depth, the psuedo complexity added by putting in huge time wasting areas (The purpose of the gauntlet is literally just to slow you down, does that make it a good puzzle? Absolutely not) and the lack of depth in the story beyond some cliche alien nonsense, and finally the severly lacking character development that was so key in all their previous games.
