An intriguing third-person shooter set in the XCOM universe. A lot of familiar monsters are on view, and familiar weapons too. The plot is at least somewhat interesting, with a lot of choice about what missions you perform when. And there are a few unexpected plot twists that keep you guessing.

The game's big "gimmick" is that you can engage in some limited small-unit tactics, giving orders to your squadmates who can deploy different abilities to help you. You can send them to catch the bad guys in a crossfire, or tell them to revive you when you take too much damage. It offers some intriguing possibilities, but the control scheme can be a little bit too finicky. More than once I've accidentally activated the wrong ability by having selected onto the wrong person without intending to.

If you can get it cheaply on Steam sale, go for it. Not sure I'd pay full price, though.
