I didn't care for the gameplay changes. A lot more grind and a lot less action. The change from dash to sprint and focus on cc'ing enemies with cast just isn't what I wanted. I also don't like that a lot of the Hades 2 bosses play out like MMO raid bosses, where a big guy stands there and throws giant aoe's at you while you duck in to hit them a couple times, duck out, and repeat. Very few of the bosses aggressively chase unless you get well out of range.

This is very much an opinion thing, of course. Still, I hate when people dismiss the first game's combat as "dash spam", that kinda combat was super fun to me, and challenging in its own right on higher heat. So help me god if even one of you says "methodical" around me I will Vlad the Impaler treatment your bootyhole. In Minecraft.

Also the ending sucking was salt in the wound but it's been said 1000 times now.

Was super excited for this game, but it's extremely buggy in a lot of weird ways. Played less than two hours and clipped into the world 2-3 times, and got stuck on geometry once or twice. Controls feel a lot worse than they look. The dash has inconsistent timing and just refuses to work sometimes. Doesn't work if you do it with the yo-yo all the way out on the ground, only works if you do it with the yo-yo all the way out in the air... sometimes. Sometimes it lets you hit it fast like the ground version too. Pole swinging feels awful and just lets go when it wants unless you swing around multiple times... usually.

Wait until they iron out the bugs or until it goes on sale, whatever comes first. Really sad to say I can't recommend it at $30 in its current state.

Lethal Company is really fun but I have horrible insomnia as it is. Game kept me up til 5AM over fear of having nightmares. If you don't have phobias that keep you up at night, it's a great and funny horror game to play with friends.

Unbelievably good platformer. Fast and intense with fun movement and even more fun movement tech. The animation is oozing with charm and really gets the cool parts about 90's cartoon aesthetics and presentation. Music is 10/10 easily across almost the whole OST. Extremely replayable.

Note: there's less exploration in this game than some people might like. It does exist, but the clear emphasis is going fast and blasting ass. Rewards for secrets and collectibles are minor except the toppins, which are mostly easy to find.

Really fun roguelite. Plays like NBA Jam, the controls feels good, and the progression system and difficulty feel good. I like it!

Devs have just partnered with a notorious crypto group and plan to add in-game NFT-style functionality, including gameplay-affecting mechanics. Was a great game, but don't start playing it if you haven't already. It's likely to get banned from Steam soon anyway.

Dramatic improvement to the base game. I almost feel like making the temple system (especially its spell upgrades/enemy shard scaling) and act 4 equivalent paid DLC is Shiny Shoe shooting themselves in the foot, because it adds a sense of risk/reward that MT desperately needed to stay competitive with StS's longevity. Especially since modders will now have to shell out $10 to make their mods compatible with the new mechanics.

The wurmkin clan is fun, the rest is all fluff, but I think the general mechanics changes are way too good to be DLC. Strongly recommend getting this if you already like Monster Train, it adds extra challenge and depth that the game desperately needed.

Excellent digital board game about screwing your friends over with corruption and greed. Mario Party meets Monopoly.

Cool game idea, but the execution of it is completely broken. "Train warping" cheese is mandatory for completing many level challenges, and trivializes the game otherwise. Attempting to beat these challenges legitimately requires immaculate RNG. If you're not really in it to win it and just want to play creative, the game's decent, but not super replayable. From a puzzle/challenge standpoint, it's broken. I like puzzles, strategy, and challenge, so I can't recommend it for anyone with my taste in games.
