i love this game but i hate tycho.

unironically though, this is a very fun game on its own, and you can tell they put alot of effort into the remaster, but tycho (aside from being unfunny) just looks worse than the original game. i think its because he has more actual shading instead of being cel shaded like in the og.

also i miss the warm lighting and fog from the og. made the place feel cozier..

granted i havent even scratched the surface of this game, but personally i dont find it that interesting. it just feels like terraria in 3d, which i guess is good because thats what the dev was going for (i think,) but it doesnt feel like it has its own identity. the building *looks* interesting in the store page footage, but i havent been able to experience it yet.

granted this is also an early access title, and things are subject to change, but i want this game to get its own identity instead of just being "look guys it terraria but 3d!!"

personally wasnt that into it. i didnt *hate* it but it was just boring

how do you make a golf game with the worst physics possible??? like im actually shocked that it feels THIS terrible to control. im not expecting hyper-accurate physics calculations every frame, but theres no reason for HALF of the power bar to make your ball go flying at mach 4. the ball feels like it weighs 20 pounds when its on the ground but the second you leave the ground you go flying into the atmosphere.

ive seen roblox games with better physics and i wish i was joking

OLD REVIEW: ive only played for 4 hours but this is might be the best sandbox game ever
of course, its in early access and still has bugs and crashes and whatnot, but whats already here feels very polished and fun to use
i would definitely pick this up if you like making gmod dupes or making roblox games (i didnt include the pvp aspect because i havent played it yet :/ )

minor edit: i would give this game a mixed review if i could. i adore the idea of the game but it gets very repetitive after the first hour i'd say. the game also suffers from the developer not really understanding the engine well, i cant really blame them for that, since source has a lot of stuff going on, but using dev screen text for npcs and just, allowing noclip at any time, arent great choices. this game still holds a spot in my heart though, no matter how strange the development choices were


forgot which way was left and which way was right, got severely punished for it. what a cruel world..


the game was fun. im not sure why noclip is enabled right from the start of the game. also i dont think theres a point to the keybind to say hello, which made me very sad. i wanted to say hello to my computer friends :(

i got very sick of being treated like a child after a while. why do i get told "i dont want to treat you like a child anymore," then proceed to be treated like a child?

also this game made me even more impatient than i already am

also also, i think i got sent to roblox at some point

i feel like they just wanted to make a game about building a cool raft, then realized "wait nobodys gonna want to play this if the only thing you can do is build a cool raft," so they added story islands that make the players wish that the game was just "build a cool raft"

also the amount of times ive thought to myself "did this game ever fully come out or is it still in early access hell?" is probably higher than the amount of hours i have in the game (as of writing this.)

when i have to install basic quality of life mods when im not even in the second chapter, then i dont think youre ready to say the game is "finished" and then abandon it

dueled a friend, kept falling off the map and laughed my ass off, won the duel, ruined my friends life
