A fun and zany trials-type obstacle course party game!
There's a lot of stuff missing right now that I'm looking forward to, like proper linux controller support (I'm using steam input to map keyboard controls right now) and all the quality of life and quality of fun settings they had in Ultimate Chicken horse, as well as (hopefully) a lot more objects to place and path on/around.

I'm giving it a positive review on the quality of what they have now and the promise of even more to come soon, but keep in mind that it's still pretty rough around the edges. Treat it like an early access game.

A clear and easy to understand tutorial for riichi mahjong, a fun and interesting story mode that challenges you to play the game in unusual ways, an interesting ability system to spice things up, and a well written glossary of mahjong terms.
And then there's a bunch of cute characters on top of that!
I can't think of anything more I'd ask for out of a mahjong game :3

Early Access Review
No Linux support, microtransactions crammed in, incredibly poor tutorial that goes on far longer than necessary even without fully explaining everything available to you. Why is there a large section of the tutorial dedicated to "enjoy the music and have fun :)"? I know how to have fun. You don't have to teach me that.
Even if the game is free, it's not like... good?
I don't understand why it has to be a live service, either. You can see other people laggily zipping around, you can join a party with a friend, but there doesn't seem to be versus modes like horse or score battles or line races. You can do the daily challenges co-op as well, but it mostly just amounts to doing them side by side in the same instance.

I also don't understand why this has anti-cheat at all. it's not like... competitive or anything? it's just a sandbox for skateboarding. I'm here for the silly physics glitches and the cool skating. I don't care if somebody else is flying around or whatever.

The game needs way more refinement. It's absolutely absurd that it runs this badly on modern hardware, and it just keeps getting worse as they keep adding more and more content and absolutely no fixes. I don't know if it's Capcom leadership or Monster Hunter team leadership, but whomever it is, they need to invest significant time and resources into optimizing and bugfixing this game.
And that's just for the performance. The gameplay is abysmally boring and I spent the entirety of low rank and high rank wondering when the game would start. I had to get to master rank for the monsters to actually start being a real challenge, and even then, I never had to spend any time gathering resources or crafting the perfect loadout to counter it.
I am all for accessibility features. I love when games add options and tools to help people enjoy the experience in spite of any limitations they might be facing. But they need to be that- options. tools.
I've struggled to find ways to add the challenge back to the game. I've scoured the menus and turned off as many assists as they would let me, I've stopped using the seikret for anything other than travel from point A to point B, I've stopped taking items out of the supply pouch.
but I still have a giant, unremovable icon on my screen telling me exactly where the target monster is at all times.
I still get the contents of the supply pouch dumped into my item box at the end of a hunt, rendering gathering anything other than trade items totally unnecessary (and even the trade items are only useful for getting trade materials and cooking materials. and now I don't even really need cooking materials, since I can just buy a good meal)
The UI still blatantly declares when the monster is ready to capture whether I want it to or not.

I get streamlining the old formula. I get removing things like pickaxes and bug nets and fishing bait to make it easier to attract new players. But where's the hunt? This is just a fight, and I am, at almost all times, the scariest thing in the arena.

a wonderful nonogram game with cute decorations for an adorable rodent friend to enjoy. What's not to love?
I can't wait for the full game to come out!

Early Access Review
this game is super cute and super fun. if you liked Phantasy Star Online, you'll probably find this game super fun.
music is absolute gas, the skills feel good to use, all the different weapon types are fun to play with, and aspect stones are abundant so it's easy to change the primary stat of any particular weapon you might want to use.
my only real negatives are that there's currently no controller support (though the dev has said it's in the works) and the enchanting system is expensive and completely random (but I guess it is somewhat of an endgame optimization, and it doesn't really take all that long to get enough crowns to do a reroll)

Phenomenal digital third space. very chill and goofy. impeccable vibes.
love hanging out with my friends and catching fish ^w^
Only thing I can think of that might improve the experience is letting players have a static customizable space they can bring with them between instances, like being able to make and keep drawings on the private islands.
being able to change the color of your flag would also be super neat for when big groups have multiple private island jam sessions going on :3

Incredibly shallow, very ugly, tools break too fast and every voice is incredibly annoying to listen to.
It seems to be copying the aesthetic of gameplay from a bunch of different games without actually filling in any of the depth that those other games have.

It's the original Risk of Rain with a ton of much needed fixes and a bunch of brand new content on top of that. The providence trials are all very creative, and some of them are extremely challenging.
Also: the new settings to change your damage dealt and received are really cool for accessibility and adding extra challenge.
