The beats are sick, the weapon upgrades are weird, and the enemies are two-dimensional. Bought this a few days ago and already put 14 hours into it.

being a lil' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: the game

Escape from Tarkov in Beksinski's hell. But it's way more than that, too. I can't hype up this game or its art enough. The assets, models, skyboxes- man, just all of it. You pick from a selection of scavengers with speed, loot capacity, and weapon familiarity skills. The setting combines cyberpunk superstates (or what is left of their military capacities) with the arms and ammunition of the 21st century. So you can, for instance, be a cyborg shaman wielding a SPAS-12 or AKM. It all fits extremely well together. And weapons really are the least of it, especially for a solo player.

Weapons and backpacks (called "Rigs" here) can be customized, with different loot skills allowing for different options. And speaking of, there is already a good assortment of guns and rigs to pick through. The gameplay loop includes Tarkov-like questing with finding items in raid, going to specific locations, or killing certain amounts of enemies. After the initial quest line all the main factions open up and provide cycling lists of quests.

I learned recently that the dev team was ~20 people. It's no small feat to have put out what's already here. At this point I have about 8 hours and at least one of my Steam buddies has ~40 hours in it. tl;dr this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ splendid game and worth the money

There are obvious Star Wars: Battlefront comparisons to be made considering the game has integrated infantry/space combat and maps that emphasize each. Loadout variety is effectively unlimited across all role types, since more-or-less every item is available to any class, plus you can make new presets from scratch. There's a command/ squad lead system similar to other games, like BF2 or Hell Let Loose.

It's got offline functionality. Prestige and XP levels carry between online and offline play, but time-to-kill isn't unbearable, nor is it too twitchy. It's a good game and it looks cool. Plus, it's started to get patched again. Word of warning though: you're not going to regularly find even half-full multiplayer servers. But if you're looking for a pickup FPS to chew though it's easily worth the price.
