I like this game so much I actually got their sweater (it's very pretty)

Yeah you'll probably sink hours into failing all over the place in this game, but it actually has so much character. For a video game with a made up premise and species, it feels very real in a lot of ways more than any other game I have played to be honest.

There is literally no direction given to you in this game, no explanations about the world, and certainly no handholding on the gameplay. Basically, you showed up. Now what? So go answer that.

The modding community is excellent too and has so much to offer. I suggest playing vanilla and brainstorming what you wish was added to the game before downloading a bunch

Wonderful game and easily one of my favorites

Absolutely fantastic game.

This was the first grand strategy game I ever tried to play, and I have not regretted purchasing all of the major dlc's for it.

My typical brand of games is rpg's and fps, although I have had experience in nearly everything. In addition to this, I am largely a console gamer. But this game singularly stands out above all of the games I know for its ability to be replayed. The military strategy and some economic aspects of the game are a little lacking, but are also not needed compared to the depth of the gameplay.

If you like to plan everything and achieve a long term goal step by step, this is a game for you.

I will say, though, that the mid-late game micromanagement is super tedious, but doable. Mods can easily assist with this. I use a carrying capacity mod to mitigate overpopulation, for example.

I started this game a few years back before I had Steam, which I comleted it on the Xbox. It is still on my Top 10 for me despite the different interface. Iit's great for anyone who likes an fps.
