Medieval bureaucracy (still rings true), a communist donkey, a insufferable poet, a greedy bishop, and a fanatical inquisitor. A beautiful mess of logic and lunacy that made me grind for hours and hours.
I eventually had to step in with a list of mods to balance the workload and keep the game fun rather than exhausting.
The core loop is solid but poorly paced, so I used this suite of mods (requires BepInEx) to bring the difficulty back into a rewarding territory:

BeamMeUpGerry: Fast-travel menu to several useful locations.
ConfigurationManager: In-game menu to tweak other mods.
FasterCraftReloaded: Faster craft.
HoldToSprint: Sprint.
MaxButtonsRedux: Max buttons for bulk handling.
MoreInventorySlots: More inventory slots.
QueueEverything: Queue different items at the same workstation.
SuperStrongMod: Stack heavy items.

Great atmosphere and clever logic, but the grind is an insult. Mod it and treat it like the automation sim it should have been from the start.

I usually despise card games. I always associate them with P2W mechanics or boring RNG fests (Hearthstone, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm pointing at you). But this? This is something different.
It’s the perfect blend of strategy and roguelike punishment. The balance is absurdly good. Every time you die, you know exactly where you messed up. It scratches that same itch as Factorio where you are constantly trying to optimize your machine, but here your machine is a deck of cards, relics and potions. The synergy potential is endless, and the "just one more run" factor is what keeps you going.
Runs smoothly on anything, native Linux support is flawless. Great music and devs who actually care about the game.

When I first saw this, it had a very bold premise that I thought would never come true: 3D Factorio. I mean, I never thought they would make it as smooth, complex, and rewarding as the original inspiration. Playing the early release, my predictions were correct: it was buggy and unfinished.
However, I returned after a few years when they released the 1.0 version and bang, here it is, a pleasant surprise. Everything runs smoothly, even with several machines working simultaneously across the map. Multiplayer is stable, and there is a lot of content to explore, enough to sink hundreds of hours into.
It's one of the best games in the automation genre right now and the uncontested leader if you're looking for a three-dimensional twist.

Functional crossplay, mod friendly, text-based save import/export, and extensive skill system. Couldn't ask for more.

Besides gorgeous graphics and unique gameplay mechanics, few games make you question your own consciousness and existence; this is one of them. Allegory of the cave, digitally encapsulated, and thrown into the depths of the ocean. Strongly recommended even for those who don't enjoy horror games like me.

Now I understand why Stunlock abandoned Battlerite. At least it was a worthwhile sacrifice, they really outdid themselves with this game. You truly feel like a vampire playing it, the progression and crafting are very well designed and the customization is endless, both in skill sets and base building. The only thing missing is craft automation, which would be a great use for servants.
Overall it's a great experience with tons of replayability. Get this if you're looking for a huge open world rpg with intense and complex combat.

There's no zombie survival role-playing game like this. Lots of great mods to explore too. Get this if you're masochistic.

Amazing puzzles. A well crafted and clever Spacechem successor.
