X4: Foundations is one of my favourite PC games and is one of the best space simulators out there. Fly your own fighter, mine some asteroids, become a pirate, engage in massive battles, become a trading empire, or destroy everyone. There's so much choice in X4 for multiple playthroughs. I've not spent 1,000 hours in-game yet, something many others would consider a low number for X4.

It's difficult to believe it has been almost eight years since X4: Foundations was released. While not perfect, Egosoft has continued to work on improving the game and expanding the universe. With update 7.0 on the horizon with another DLC, now's the perfect time to hop into X4 and lose yourself among the stars.

Enjoy Stellaris, EVE, Elite Dangerous, and Star Citizen (without the FPS gameplay)? You'll have a blast with X4. Just stick with it for a few hours before deciding it's not quite for you. The game has a steep learning curve but the 7.0 update introduces a more refined tutorial experience. Reddit and array of fan sites do well to provide ample data on just about everything to do with the game.

Early Access Review
It's in early access, but Necesse has plenty of potential to become an incredible game. Much like Terraria, the foundations are set and I hope the developer is able to ramp up speed with which new features and improvements are made with a few more helping hands.

Think of this game as a mix of Terraria, Rimworld, and Minecraft.

It's rough, but a substantial upgrade over the first game. Stoked to see what the dev team adds to Bannerlord.

This game is absolutely horrendous. The buggy mess of an experience that it is consistantly send you back to the desktop with a crash error, which then fires up the buggy bug reporter. And yes, I said buggy bug reporter because you need to pray to the Gods that the thing will actually work. D-sync issues are still present, after years of development and the enhancements being made are welcome but well overdue and there's simply too much to fix. The team also seems to be more interested in esports and cosmetics to make even more money when it doesn't even deserve the asking price in its current state.

I gave PUBG the benefit of a doubt as much was promised in the way of optimization and improvements. The former has occured, it's at least easy to open doors without lagging and having to click on one four times before the game decides to register your input, but with more IAP content available, it's becoming a joke. It was only a matter of time before a AAA developer came along and rolled out its own BR that runs better.

Sins of a Solar Empire is a must-have for any strategic freak or space sim fan. The real-time combat and technology advance tree enables choice and customisation while attempting to seduce, defeat or befriend enemies.

Superb football manager game, boasting an intuitive interface and expansive gameplay. Should you be into football, even remotely, then Football Manager is a must-buy.

Terraria is a fantastic indie game which roots run deep in the old-style D&D games and has a larger combat and adventure orientation than the likes of Minecraft. Featuring bosses, upgradable items, special items, magic spells/weapons and abilities, Terraria is a playful environment.
